💡 Did you know Singapore Polytechnic has The Advanced Manufacturing Learning Journey (AMLJ) showcase that helps local enterprises understand Industry 4.0 and explore opportunities to alleviate concerns about digital disruption and encourage adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies? AMEU partnered with Singapore Polytechnic – Advanced Manufacturing Centre to organise a curated session for our companies. Participants had an experiential journey in 3 zones – Digitalisation, Integrated and Smart Zones, to know more about the i4.0 technology and processes, and how Singapore Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) could be used as a transformation tool to transform enterprises into being i4.0 ready. 🌟 AMEU Branch Officials Engagement 2024 🌟 We had an incredible time at the AMEU Branch Officials Engagement 2024! Branch officials from various unionised companies came together for a day filled with insightful learning experiences and engaging activities. The event kicked off with an introduction on using Generative AI in the workplace conducted by our very own Branch Official and Executive Council member, Brother Monteiro, followed by a briefing on the new Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangement Requests by OTCi. Our Membership Subcommittee also shared AMEU’s new initiatives and membership updates with our branch officials. Our AMEU President, General Secretary, and Executive Secretary hosted a lively discussion on HR practices and union matters before we ended the morning by recognising our stalwart branch officials who won May Day Awards this year and our top recruiters. In the afternoon, we stretched our bodies and brains! Branch officials went on a tour of our new AMEU office and learnt office-stretching exercises with a trainer provided by the Health Promotion Board, Singapore. We then stretched our brains with a hands-on tutorial on LxP, an online learning platform, by NTUC LearningHub. A big thank you to everyone who attended!
