Construction at our Pukenui solar farm, a joint project with our partner, Far North Solar Farm, is progressing well. Led by EPC Photon Energy Group, piling work is almost complete with mounting frame installation happening over the next two months. Thank you to the teams who are on site regularly to help ensure quality and timely execution, we appreciate your hard work luca alberio, Alexander Fischer, Mark T., Sally K Stahmer and Lucy Sinclair. Pukenui solar farm is due to come online in 2025 and will generate enough clean energy to supply the equivalent of 2,000 homes in the Far North district. #SolarPV #Construction #BringingCleanEnergytoLife

At the recent 8th International Forum on Energy Transformation in Taipei, Richard Chang, our Head of Taiwan, sat down for a discussion with industry peers on the state of the region’s renewable energy sector. Richard highlighted the challenges facing the sector today, namely land acquisition, complex administrative processes, and an evolving regulatory environment. Fortunately, Taiwan has immense potential in renewables and to seize and realise these opportunities, Richard emphasised the need for clearer policies and better local engagement. He also shared the importance of energy storage to firm supply and stabilise grids for advancing Taiwan's energy goals. We are grateful for the opportunity to engage with private and public sector industry experts and look forward to more collaborative discussions like this. #BringingCleanEnergyToLife #Taiwan #Renewables #BESS #EnergyTransition

In June we launched a “No More Plastics” campaign with the goal of driving tangible action towards a more sustainable future through our daily habits and actions at work. Why focus on plastics? The world faces a plastic pollution crisis, with eight million tons of plastic waste entering our oceans annually (source: National Geographic). While single-use plastic practises vary across the region, there's a common need to reduce its use significantly. To start we equipped all colleagues with collapsible, reusable coffee mugs. We then launched a two-week “No More Plastics” challenge where APAC colleagues pledged to avoid plastic for two weeks in their beverage and lunch takeaways. The results were inspiring: - Nearly 80% of colleagues participated with 100% participation in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. - We avoided using 869 pieces of single-use plastic during this period. Supplementary activities included a lunch & learn where we explored the clothing industry’s link to plastic use through an interactive quiz hosted by Thammika Songkaeo from Two Glasses LLP. To finish, a group of colleagues participated in a beach cleanup in Singapore. Through this campaign, we've adopted impactful habits like using reusable mugs and takeout lunchboxes and raised awareness about reducing plastic waste. Thank you to everyone who participated and for your commitment to sustainability. Let’s keep this momentum and strive towards a more sustainable future for all! #NoMorePlastics #WorldEnvironmentDay #WorldOceanDay #CorporateSocialResponsibility #BringingCleanEnergyToLife

It goes without saying that battery energy storage systems (BESS) are mission critical for the energy transition to stabilise grids and dispatch variable sources of energy when consumers need it most. However, where exactly BESS development and deployment are at varies greatly across markets and countries with different challenges and opportunities in each. Our team was pleased to speak at both the Energy Storage Summit Australia and Energy Storage Summit Asia and dive into these very important topics with other industry experts from across the region. Sharing his key takeaway from ESS Asia, Achal Sondhi, Chief Investment Officer, shared: “As I’ve always said, we need a national BESS target per country. Once this is in place, the markets will find a way.” Thomas Schmitz, GM Energy Markets, added: “Currently, there are only a handful of BESS with four-hour capacity. The opportunity today is to develop and build them before the spot price signals that they are necessary. It is the curse of the current energy-only market that by the time the spot market sends the right price signals, the asset will be needed almost immediately. So you need to develop with foresight and in advance for batteries.” Thank you to Solar Media Limited ESS Asia and Australia for having us. We are looking forward to next year’s conversation already. #BESS #EnergyStorage #EnergyTransition #StorageSummit #BringingCleanEnergytoLife
