  • The National Metrology Centre wishes you a radiant Diwali, celebrating the brilliance of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. 🕯️ Fun Fact: The brightness of each diyas(lamps) glowing in the night is measured in candelas—the SI unit for luminous intensity, illuminating our lives with precision. May your Diwali be filled with warmth, wisdom, and light that shines bright! ✨

  • Come by to say hi at our booths at ITAP 2024!

Partnerships are a critical enabler of Singapore’s manufacturing ambitions, and A*STAR have been working with our partners to co-innovate solutions.   At ITAP 2024, DPM Heng Swee Keat highlighted three key areas: 1. Advance science, technology and research that catalyse new innovations in manufacturing A*STAR is driving R&D partnerships in areas such as AI solutions and battery technologies to drive the next-gen manufacturing.   2. Broaden platforms that translate scientific insights into practical, innovative and viable solutions Enterprise Singapore is partnering Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology, Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic to launch the Advanced Manufacturing Centre of Innovation. Companies can collaborate with these institutes to develop tap new products or solutions and improve competitiveness.   3. Equip our manufacturing workforces with relevant skills and proficiency to harness new technologies like AI The Singapore Workforce Institute of Future Transformation, launched by A*STAR, SkillsFuture SG, and Advanced Manufacturing Training Academy (AMTA), prepares Singapore’s workforce for the future of AI-driven manufacturing.   DPM Heng also toured A*STAR’s exhibit which explores a smarter, greener, and more connected manufacturing.   Explore our latest innovations and discover collaboration opportunities that could transform your business at our booth (3B03) at ITAP. • 🎳 Strike Up Some Fun at Our Team Bowling Event! 🌟   Last week, our team traded in our safety shoes for bowling shoes, and what a fantastic time we had! 🎉 From strikes to spares, the laughter and friendly competition filled the lanes as we connected beyond the office walls. It was a fantastic opportunity to unwind, connect, and cheer each other on.   A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made the event so much fun, your energy made the event truly unforgettable!   🎳 Bowling is a perfect mix of precision, accuracy, and a dash of uncertainty! It’s all about consistently hitting your target while navigating those unpredictable lane conditions. Just as bowlers aim for strikes, we strive for consistent results while navigating unpredictable variables. Embrace the journey and keep aiming for excellence 📊🔬 #Research #Innovation #Metrology #Calibration #Bowling #Teambonding
