BYD will continue to pledge $1,000 for every car sold until 6 March, driving even more support for this important cause. We are thrilled to be a part of the Sihat Bersama Jaga Kesihatan, Jaga Ummah (JKJU) network, which has expanded from 100 partners in 2023 to over 160 in 2024! This incredible growth highlights the collective effort of social service agencies, government bodies, educational institutions, corporate partners, and healthcare professionals working together to improve health outcomes for the Malay/Muslim community. As a proud partner, we joined the JKJU Network Event last weekend, where we engaged with the community, spreading awareness about breast cancer and the critical importance of early detection. Through M3’s Focus Area 5 on community health, this expanding network is playing a crucial role in promoting health awareness and increasing access to essential screenings. We are dedicated to continuing our work alongside our partners to improve breast cancer screening rates and empower the community through education and support. 🎀 What an incredible turnout at Pink Ribbon Walk 2024! We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation’s mission to raise awareness and empower those affected by breast cancer. 💖 A special thank you to our Guest of Honour, Mdm Rahayu Mahzam, Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of Health, for gracing the event with her presence. The walk also featured an expanded carnival, which was filled with interactive fringe activities, from a 360-degree photo booth to food, lifestyle, and craft stalls, all courtesy of partnered vendors. We’re also thrilled to have launched our new Pink Ribbon pin and music video, each symbolising hope, courage, unity, and resilience in the fight against breast cancer. 🎶 With the launch of our #StrongerTogether campaign, we were extremely excited to launch our music video - Voices for Ibu, featuring the likes of Alemay Fernandez, Fauzie Laily, Hady Mirza, Hafidz Abdul Rahman, Joanna Dong, Malaque Mahdaly, Pam Oei, and Syarifullah, alongside survivors, caregivers, and community partners in a touching and emotional rendition of P Ramlee's 'Ibu'. 📢 PSA 📢 After a fruitful multi-sectoral workshop held in January this year, we, along with Society of Behavioural Health, Singapore and Roche, are happy to announce that the post-workshop report has been completed! We are excited to showcase the insights, perspectives, and invaluable expertise and experience shared by our attendees and contributors. With a key focus on improving the health outcomes of breast cancer patients within the Malay community, this report aims to: • 🔍 Gain a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges faced by Malay-Muslim women in Singapore concerning breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. • 🔍 Identify and analyse primary factors contributing to the persistent disparities in breast cancer incidence and mortality rates among Malay-Muslim women in Singapore. • 🔍 Develop and implement a range of cross-sectoral strategies to effectively address these identified challenges. We are grateful for the massive contributions from our presenting partners Roche and SBHS, alongside our various attendees from myriad patient advocacy networks, Malay-Muslim organisations, grassroots community organisations, as well as healthcare professionals and BCF member-facilitators, which have helped make the workshop a success, allowing us to dissect the information and present it in the form of this detailed report.
