A recent poll reveals that 69% of employers in Singapore view this innovative work arrangement as feasible, with the same percentage believing it could enhance productivity. Despite this optimism, only 18% of employers in Singapore are actively planning or considering a shift to a 4-day work week in the next two years. This hesitancy suggests a gap between the perceived benefits and the readiness to implement such changes. Interestingly, flexibility remains a key theme. Around 20% of employers are open to offering more flexible hours on Fridays, and a similar proportion are considering a 4½-day work week. These incremental changes reflect a cautious approach to redefining traditional work structures. As businesses explore new ways to improve efficiency and employee satisfaction, the conversation around work schedules continues to evolve.
