Transforming the way we age: A Healthier Future
About us
Centre for Healthy Longevity (CHL), based in Singapore, brings together scientists and clinicians to investigate the multifaceted aspects of ageing. Our mission is to add healthy years of life by delaying ageing, prolonging disease-free life and maintaining high functionality. We synergise basic and clinical science to develop biomarkers for measuring ageing, to test interventions that slow down ageing, and to create personalized implementation strategies that extend healthy life expectancy in Singapore and worldwide. Centre for Healthy Longevity is supported by National University of Singapore (NUS) and National University Health Systems (NUHS). At NUS, we are part of the Healthy Longevity Translational Research Programme of Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The programme aims to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the biology of ageing by identifying and manipulating common pathways that modulate ageing in vitro and in vivo, and then to seek methods for translation to humans. At NUHS, we are one of the six Centres of Excellence dedicated to advance breakthroughs in innovation, create new models of care, and forge collaborative partnership with the community, to improve the quality of life for Singaporeans.

A very special afternoon spent with some of the biggest names in longevity science and advocacy - Matt Kaeberlein, Brian Kennedy and Dilip Kumar. 🎬🎥 This is a BTS pic of the four of us, deep in coversation, for a video recording on a two hour special on the topic. No fluff or pop-science. A mature conversation looking at the science of what we know and what we don’t know. Broken down to help people, who are interested in living healthier for longer, take action. Stay tuned for the release date. It’s going to be a good one! 🇮🇳💪🏼 #longevity #science #docm #podcast #agewell #healthyliving #healthspan

Last week, we wrapped up a fruitful meeting with global pioneers of #gerophysics, a new, bold discipline that integrates statistical mechanics, complex systems theory, and dynamical modelling with the biology of #ageing. With 30 speakers, ~50 posters, and over 150 participants worldwide, we have learned about many exciting studies and theories that would push the boundaries of #longevity research and practice beyond what we previously imagined. Let us express our heartfelt gratitude to our distinguished speakers, Peter Fedichev, Uri Alon, Andrew Teschendorff, Vadim Gladyshev, Morten Scheibye-Knudsen, Matt Kaeberlein, Andrew Rutenberg, Marija Cvijovic, Yifan Yang, Ling Feng, Kumar Selvarajoo, Michael Rera, Ee Hou Yong, Steffen Rulands, Haiyang Wang, Nir Eynon, Peter Mullen, Andrei Tarkhov, Yumi Kim, Csaba Kerepesi, Kim Whye Leong, Glen Pridham, Dmitrii Kriukov, Weilan Wang, Kamil Pabis, and Weihan Huai for the insightful talks and candid discussions. Thank you, Sebastien Thuault, for moderating a thought-provoking panel and Woon-Puay Koh for excellent chairing as well. Special thanks to our sponsors, Genomax Technologies, BioAge Labs, VitaDAO, Gero, LongevityTech.fund, Xandro Lab for the generous support, and our media partners, Nature Aging, Aging (Aging-US), Lifespan.io Longevity News, Longevity.Technology for being with us throughout this exciting journey. Thank you all participants for contributing to the lively discussions; and to those who missed it, look out for our upcoming post-conference highlights as well as the recordings that will be published in the coming days! Till we meet again! Brian Kennedy, Jan Gruber, Maximilian Unfried #GCGP1st #healthylongevity

Closing today with our final speaker, Prof. Brian Kennedy, and his thought-provoking talk: Unanswered Questions in Ageing Research. Prof. Kennedy connected the dots in longevity—exploring interventions, diagnostics, aging pathways, and outcomes. From discovery science to the future of healthspan and lifespan, he tackled bold questions: can we slow aging, stop it, or even reverse it? This was followed by an engaging panel, The Future of Gerophysics. Moderated by Dr. Sebastien Thuault, it featured Prof. Uri Alon, Prof. Peter Fedichev, Prof. Marija Cvijovic, and Prof. Jan Gruber, diving deep into the next frontiers of the field. #Gerophysics #GCGP1st

We look forward to welcoming Dr Yifan Yang as a distinguished speaker at the Global Conference on #Gerophysics, 5-6 March 2025, Singapore. Dr Yang will present a theory that predicts which interventions compress relative "sickspan", based on the shape of the survival curve. This approach offers potential strategies for compressing morbidity and extending #healthspan. ‼️Only last-call tickets are available‼️ Sign up at https://lnkd.in/gxPBSudk #GCGP1st #agingresearch
