This International Security Officers' Day, we headed out to different sites to distribute our care packs. Packed with goodies, not only are these care packs a small gesture for us to show our appreciation, but also an opportunity for us to personally thank these officers for their invaluable service and unwavering dedication. Happy International Security Officers' Day! To all security officers: Thank you for keeping us safe 24/7 👮☀️🌑 #Certis #SaferSmarterBetter #InternationalSecurityOfficersDay

24 July has been recognised as International Security Officers' Day to commemorate the hard work and dedication of the officers who keep us safe 24/7. So what better way to celebrate this day than to honour our officers! This year, Security Association Singapore (SAS) presented a total of 272 awards to our Security Officers and Auxiliary Police Officers – the most recipients for an agency – in recognition for their diligence and professionalism. We were also awarded the Golden Circle Best Employer Award for the second year in a row, recognising our commitment to providing a conducive environment for our employees to thrive in, and a robust employee welfare system, including attractive remuneration and bonus plans for our officers. A special shout-out to SS Goh Che Pong, one of our Security Supervisors, who bagged the Job Redesign Award for his exemplary use of Argus, a feature-rich mobile app used by Certis officers on the job. Through Argus' Automatic Assignment feature, SS Goh successfully streamlined task distribution and enhanced his team's efficiency. SS Goh also encouraged his team to use the app's 'self-create' task function to manage non-urgent incidents on their own, resulting in improved response times, and more importantly, boosting each team member’s independence, confidence and morale. This International Security Officers' Day, let's give three cheers for all our officers for keeping our communities and nation safe and secure. #Certis #SaferSmarterBetter

"Volunteering is not just about giving back, it's about shaping a better future for our community," said Alvin Lim, Head of Certis Aviation Security. Armed with hundreds of multi-purpose pouches and reusable lunchboxes, some 60 Certis volunteers took the time out to play a part in 'Changi Airport Gives Back!', bringing a positive impact to hundreds of underprivileged children/youths and their caregivers. The event, organised by Changi Airport in conjunction with Changi Airport Group's 15th Anniversary, treated children/youths from lower-income families to a fun day out – complete with an exciting carnival and a trip to the Changi Experience Studio, packed with interactive exhibits. Actions speak louder than words, and we're proud to be given this opportunity to support these youths. Through our collective effort, we can build a safer, smarter, and better world for everyone.

Last week, our Senior Leadership Team got together at PARKROYAL Pickering for the annual Certis Senior Leadership Retreat. This year’s retreat was a chock-full of teamwork, innovation, and leadership excellence. The 3-day affair was packed with plenty of insightful sessions to equip our leaders with the right knowledge and tools, such as deepening their understanding of AI and its many functions, as well as strategy discussion sessions to chart the future of Certis. Of course, the team also bonded over activities such as Amazing Race and the customary celebratory dinner. To top it off, our senior leaders also gave back to the society in a CSR activity in partnership with SPD. Certis’ Chairman, Mr Allen Lew also addressed the senior leaders at the retreat and shared an important concept: AIM, which stands for Ask, Impact and (e)Mpower. In his speech, he reminded the team to remember that our people are at the centre of our business; to keep in mind the impact of our actions and business; and to empower the generations after us. Here’s to achieving our AIM as One Certis! 🎯🥂 #Certis #SaferSmarterBetter

Our senior leaders went the distance to celebrate SPD Singapore's 60th anniversary this year with a special CSR activity! 57 senior leaders personally shopped and packed grocery care packs for SPD's home-based clients. Heading to all four corners of Singapore, the leaders delivered the groceries to the doorsteps of 60 households in total. It was our privilege to have the opportunity to bring a smile to the clients' faces and ease their burden of shopping for heavy and bulky groceries. We would also like to thank our CSR partner, SPD, for helping to coordinate this meaningful activity! #Certis #CertisGivesBack

A culture of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) isn't built in a day, but having a slogan about it sure helps! As part of our efforts to rev up WSH awareness in Certis Hong Kong and Macau, the team rallied colleagues to come up with catchy slogans around WSH in a contest, with the winner decided through a vote. The winning tagline, coined by Lee Wai Lun, Guest Service Officer and interpreted by Cyrus Lin, Head of WSH and Administration, loosely translates to "The workplace is not a playground. You must take care with every action. Remember: safety first in all that you do." Other notable taglines include: Security Officer Cheung Mei Sum's contribution: "工作安全互提點,使用工具減風險,裝置用前仔細檢,平安穩妥先叫掂。" which roughly translates to a reminder to speak up if you have a concern about safety at work, and to carefully inspect equipment before using them, , as well as Resident Service Officer Guan Jin Li's suggestion: "世紀服務重職安 ,巡樓扶欄保平安 ,勿讓家人生不安 ,仝人稱讚好保安。" which reminds employees that not only does Certis care for their safety, but to also take extra care at work to avoid worrying their families. #Certis #WSH #SaferSmarterBetter

Over the past week, our Certis Auxiliary Police Officers convened at various facilities to accommodate the large turnout, celebrating the promotion of several hundreds of our junior officers. This promotion marks a new chapter in their lives and a pivotal step on their career journey. As they don their new ranks, they step into roles of greater responsibility, embodying the trust and expectations placed upon them by their peers, mentors and community. Not only a recognition of past achievements, but these promotions are a promise of their future contributions. While we celebrate this momentous occasion in their careers, we look forward to the even greater heights these officers will reach. ✨ #Certis #SaferSmarterBetter

Say Fiesta! Our team in Hong Kong and Macau recently came together to celebrate at the One Certis Fiesta – an annual full-day festival that culminated in a gala dinner filled with games and engaging performances as the sun sets. Benny Lim, Chief Executive, Certis Hong Kong and Macau, kicked off the celebratory event by painting the vision for the year ahead, before Certis President and Group CEO Paul Chong delivered his address. Acknowledging the challenging year the team in Hong Kong and Macau faced, Paul thanked the team for their hard work, and also congratulated the team on their many key wins in the past year. Amongst other words of encouragement, Paul also commended some of the outstanding colleagues such as Mr Wong Chi Kin for his courageous act in maintaining safety despite potential danger to himself, as well as the security team at Caribbean Coast for their swift action and professionalism that limited damage from a fire incident. To our team in Hong Kong and Macau, thank you for striving to always provide an excellent service and going above and beyond. We look forward to the next year of growth and achievements as one Certis family! #OneCertis #Certis #SaferSmarterBetter
