CDL is humbled to be the sole representative from the built sector appointed as a WSH Advocate by the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council. Joining 17 esteemed companies from various industries, we are committed to championing safety excellence and driving positive change across our supply chain, especially among SMEs. This meaningful partnership was formalised yesterday during an appreciation lunch hosted by the Chairman of the WSH Council, Mr. Abu Bakar Mohd Nor. We echo Mr. Bakar’s impactful reminder that “we are never good enough for safety” -- a call to action that underscores the need for constant vigilance and continuous improvement. At CDL, we remain resolute in our mission to prioritise the wellbeing of our employees and workers, ensuring that safety remains at the core of everything we do. Together, let us build a safer and healthier workplace for all. #CDL #CityDevelopments #WSH #EHS #WorkplaceSafety #SafetyFirst #WSHAdvocate #ESG
The inaugural batch of 18 WSH Advocates cemented their commitment to the WSH Advocate Programme at a Partnership Agreement Signing Ceremony held earlier today. ✍️🤝 This partnership with the WSH Council marks a collective stride towards safer workplaces as our WSH Advocates come together to elevate WSH standards across industries, using their influence to inspire their contractors, particularly the SMEs. 🏗️ Witnessed by the WSH Council Chairman, Mr Abu Bakar Mohd Nor, the ceremony reinforced the importance of progressive procurement practices in promoting safer workplaces. Mr Abu Bakar also presented plaques to the 18 WSH Advocates, in recognition of their contributions as key industry players in fostering robust WSH practices throughout their extensive supply chains. 👏 Visit wshc.sg/wshadvocate to learn more about the WSH Advocate Programme. #WSHAdvocate #WorkplaceSafety

🥂✨ What an eventful weekend it has been! Our first launch of the year - The Orie - sold 86% (668 units) of 777 units at an average selling price (ASP) of S$2,704 psf. About 93% of the buyers are Singaporeans while the remaining 7% comprise Permanent Residents (PR) from China, Malaysia, Indonesia, the UK, Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, India and South Korea, as well as one foreigner from the USA. They include families and HDB upgraders from the vicinity, first-time buyers attracted to the development’s prime location, as well as former Toa Payoh residents returning to a familiar community. All unit types garnered good response, with the two and three-bedroom units being the most popular. Mr Sherman Kwek, CDL’s GCEO said “We are delighted with the fantastic response to our first launch of 2025. The strong take-up rate for The Orie reflects the development’s exceptional design and locational attributes. With the ongoing transformation in Toa Payoh and limited new homes in this beloved and highly sought-after estate, The Orie will continue to attract buyers who appreciate the charm, convenience and heritage of Singapore’s pioneer town.” With its unique origami-inspired architectural design and polished interiors, The Orie will be a distinctive icon in the beloved Toa Payoh neighbourhood. 🎬 𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 & 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓! ✨ We kicked off 2025 on a high note with our annual Dinner & Dance themed Netflix Playhouse! Close to 500 attendees including representatives from CDL's subsidiaries— CBM Pte Ltd, City Serviced Offices Pte Ltd, CDL Hospitality Trusts, LE GROVE SERVICED APARTMENTS, Millennium Hotels and Resorts, South Beach and Tower Club—came together for a night of celebration, with many dressed as their favourite Netflix characters. The evening began with an impressive dance performance by our colleagues with excitement peaking during the best-dressed award and lucky draw segments. We also celebrated 24 of our Long Service Award recipients whose dedication, contributions, and hard work over the years have formed the cornerstone of our success —thank you! 💗 Special acknowledgement to the organising team and our emcee, Sherman Tang, for bringing this fantastic D&D to life. Last year, we achieved over S$600MM in total global asset divestments as part of our capital recycling initiative. Completed divestments include the Ransome’s Wharf site in London, the freehold 8-storey industrial building Cideco Industrial Complex, as well as various strata units at Citilink Warehouse Complex, Cititech Industrial Building, Fortune Centre and Sunshine Plaza, in Singapore. The divestment of the retail and office components of Hong Leong City Center (HLCC), a mixed-use development in Suzhou, is under contract and slated for completion in Q1. Mr Sherman Kwek, CDL’s GCEO, said, “The asset divestments reflect our focus on accelerating our capital recycling initiatives. While market conditions have made divestments challenging, we are glad to have achieved good momentum, and we will continue to push forward with our divestment plans. We aim to optimise our capital management while holistically calibrating our portfolio to ensure alignment with our strategic objectives and to maximise shareholder value.” Looking ahead, we continue to advance our capital recycling initiatives, with several other divestments in the pipeline. Achieving net-zero is not just about reaching a target—it’s about embedding sustainability into every decision we make, every day. At CDL, we are committed to minimising our environmental footprint by integrating green practices across our operations. From adopting energy-efficient innovations to encouraging sustainable lifestyle choices, we take a holistic approach to sustainability. As part of our journey towards net-zero, we launched the City Green Tenant Pilot Programme at Republic Plaza last year and optimised office air-conditioning to 25°C to support decarbonisation. To complement these efforts, we introduced a business casual attire policy in November 2024. This initiative not only prioritises employee comfort but also contributes to reducing textile waste over time by minimising the need for additional layers. We are encouraged by the positive feedback from our employees, whose shared commitment drives our mission to build a greener, more sustainable future together. #CityDevelopments #CDL #CDLSustainability #GreenBuilding #OperationalCarbon #CarbonReduction #BusinessCasualAttire #NetZero #25degrees

Did you check out the buzz in the Toa Payoh neighbourhood over the weekend? The Orie sales gallery was a hive of activity, attracting some 8,000 visitors over its first preview weekend. Apart from being amongst the first residential launches in 2025, The Orie is also the first private residential launch in Toa Payoh since 2016. We are heartened by the enthusiastic interest, which reflects the attractiveness of homes in established residential estates. Sales bookings will commence on Saturday, 18 January 2025. We're so glad to be able to support a meaningful cause that delivered positive impact in 2024!
Starting 2025 with Gratitude! ♥️ This New Year, we celebrate a heartwarming milestone together: the final tally of $398,000 raised at the Sustainable Christmas Market 2024 for the Singapore Red Cross Young Hearts Programme! Thank you for being a ChangeMaker and making all this possible IMPACT AT A GLANCE This funding has directly supported school-going children, aged 7 to 16, from low-income families living in public rental flats. Here’s how it’s making a difference: 🎓 Education: Professional tutors and a planned curriculum to bridge academic gaps. 🍎 Healthy Meals: Nutritional support before tuition to improve focus and attendance. 🏠 Safe Spaces: An afterschool haven for learning and growth. 🎨 Art & Sports: Opportunities to explore creativity, resilience, and teamwork. These efforts empower children from low-income families, including those from working-poor, single-parent, and skipped-generation households, to overcome challenges and achieve their dreams. LOOKING AHEAD As we embark on 2025, let’s continue nurturing the next generation with opportunities they deserve, and build a more compassionate and inclusive community together. Here’s to spreading more joy and hope in 2025!
