Wi-Fi is present in every part of society, influencing network, system, and equipment development. Heather McCall explores a new development in Wi-Fi technology called Wi-Lo, which combines the strengths of Wi-Fi and LoRa to create a network with extended range, higher transfer speeds and lower power consumption. Wi-Lo is still being developed, but it will be essential as technology advances, having been designed to integrate with existing hardware and offer an efficient and scalable solution for IoT (Internet of Things) applications such as smart cities which require extended range and instant reactions to data. As Ramadan continues to bring communities together, the role of well-designed spaces becomes even more significant. We’re reflecting on the inspiring Jazan Mosque and Auditorium, part of the Primary and Downstream Industries Cultural Centre in Jazan City, KSA. Our team is proud to have contributed to this landmark project by developing a comprehensive acoustic design strategy that enhances occupant comfort and speech intelligibility while addressing the complexities of the building's unique internal geometries. Is Poland ready to introduce NABERS - a performance-based certification system? As more markets prioritise measurable sustainability outcomes, could NABERS be the next step in Poland's green building evolution? Originally developed in Australia and successfully implemented in the UK, NABERS offers a more accurate assessment of a building's efficiency compared to design-based certifications. It measures actual energy consumption through regular audits and provides a clearer picture of a building's performance and environmental impact. In an exclusive interview with Eurobuild CEE, Michał Wójcik, Sustainability Associate at Cundall, discusses the potential of NABERS certification in the Polish market. Explore the full interview to learn more: https://lnkd.in/dMn5vbAv #Sustainability #GreenBuilding #EnergyEfficiency #NABERS #Certification
In the Polish commercial real estate market, certifications like Breeam Assessment and LEED Certification are now the standard. But is that enough? Is it time to shift towards a certification system that evaluates actual energy consumption with regular audits? 💡 We spoke with Michał Wójcik, sustainability associate at Cundall, who introduced us to NABERS – an Australian certification system now also making waves in the UK. Unlike traditional solutions, NABERS uses real-world energy data to assess a building’s performance and provides a more accurate measure of its environmental impact. 🌿 In this exclusive interview, Michał discusses the requirements for NABERS certification, how it differs from LEED and BREEAM, and its potential to shape the future of energy-efficient real estate in Poland. As we continue to celebrate International Women's Day and the theme of #AccelerateAction, we recognise the vital role we all play in advancing gender equality. This year, Cundall is taking action by launching a donation drive for Star Shelter, run by the Singapore Council Of Women's Organisations. It is the only secular shelter in Singapore dedicated to women and children who are survivors of family violence. They also provide essential support, including legal aid, mental health services, and safe spaces to empower survivors. We are proud that our staff from the Singapore office have come together to contribute donations-in-kind from the Shelter's wishlist, equivalent to SGD 960, in support of this important cause. Together, we can combat gender-based violence and create a community where everyone feels safe and valued. Let’s keep the momentum going and make a meaningful impact!💪 #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2025 #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #Community #Singapore #GenderEquality
