Continuing his travels this week, our colleague, Michael Peach finds himself in San Jose, Costa Rica with Taha Khalid and NVIS COMMUNICATIONS LLC to lead an exclusive radio training event for our partners in Central and South America. It’s been an enthusiastic start to the week from our attendees from Bolivia, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Peru. This morning, we had a classroom session with Taha on Codan HF (High Frequency) and DTC MESH radio solutions for mission-critical communications and applications. What do you see when you look at these pictures? Beauty? Yes, it is stunningly beautiful. I see communication obstacles in multiple domains from jungle to mountain to desert and the sea. No single waveform is optimal for all these environments. And oh yes, I see a turtle – he was too cool looking not to add him! At the end, you see two communications platforms meant to operate in these environments. This includes Codan Limited HF radios with a software-defined capability that supports government-developed HF Wideband. You also see the KÄGWERKS Dock system with the #multiwaveform Domo Tactical Communications (DTC) radio and onboard compute. These two platforms provide more waveforms, tactical edge compute, and communications capabilities than any system in the market today. I will be with our partners from CodeMettle this week, October 22-24, at the AFCEA TechNet Indo-Pacific conference in booth 522.
