To #SaaS or not to SaaS? Eartheye Space was born a little over two years ago with the mission to make on-demand access to #satellite data and information 𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒚, like ordering an Uber. We also innovated to bring the world's first #multisensor #tasking, like ordering Uber Eats. Specifically, we focused on solving 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲—getting all the #sensors (imaging, RF, AIS) on a single platform, 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲—accessing these sensor data with a minimum annual subscription of USD 5000, which we turned into credit to task (we borrowed the business model from pre-paid mobile), and 𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲—where we extract the information from the tasked data in near real-time and deliver ready-to-consume information, be it in national #security or #climate contexts. When we use the word "subscription," we create a (mis)understanding that a customer pays USD 5000 to access the platform and needs to pay on top to task and get their information of interest. This often requires clarification on whether the amount is a credit. Then, some customers join with USD 25,000 or USD 250,000 or higher. All subscriptions become credits on the platform; however, this language of subscription and credit has confused customers. Some prospective customers unfamiliar with the commercial satellite data business model wonder if our USD 5000 subscription offer is an invitation to an all-you-can-eat sensor buffet. After operating the platform for 18 months, we decided to make a change based on feedback from customers and prospects. So, we are eliminating the subscription language in customer communication. From February 3rd, we will offer two ways to onboard the Eartheye platform: 1️⃣ 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭 and 2️⃣ 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭. What's the difference? 1️⃣ Without a deposit, customers can access some sensors and limited functionality—use the platform like Uber or Uber Eats. 2️⃣ With a deposit of USD 5000, customers can use the platform like a pre-paid mobile, tasking all 485+ satellites, extensive workflows, and rich capabilities. 💰𝘏𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘴—𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘜𝘚𝘋 100,000—𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘦. Our stringent KYC (Know Your Customer) process applies in all cases. This is important to keep our operator partners and customers safe. As a start-up, we continuously experiment. We innovate not only technically, removing friction in the accessibility and usability of satellite data, but also via business models that make the #selfservice proposition affordable. New capability on the platform: Super Resolution (SR)! Customers on the Eartheye Space platform could now task a low-resolution (LR) sensor satellite and receive higher-resolution (HR) data within a few hours: one workflow, one order, one payment. Why is it cool? 1️⃣ Improved detection and classification: Analysts and machines can easily detect objects of interest and automatically classify features in HR more accurately than in LR 2️⃣ Cost efficiency: High-resolution imagery is expensive; enhancing lower-cost low-resolution images to higher resolution via computational algorithms is cheaper by up to 50%. 3️⃣ More frequent: Several LR sensor satellites are readily available compared to HR satellites, which tend to be capacity-constrained. Repeat captures become attractive when the temporal resolution benefit is combined with the cost. Overall, SR optimises the utility of satellite imagery, making earth observation data accessible, affordable and, more importantly, #usable. 🌏 Eartheye Space makes Enhancing Satellite Data uber-easy. 🛰 Ask for a demo at www.eartheye.space or register at tasking.eartheye.space 💲 Pay as you task, from your annual US$5,000 (min) credit. ✅ Available for any size organisation. ♻ Please repost or share with anyone you know who may be interested in solving strategic and operational issues with Earth Observation. #EarthObservation #RemoteSensing #GeoSpatial #SatelliteImagery #SuperResolution #SpatialResolution #Space #SpaceTech #EartheyeSpace

Dam Construction Monitoring with Remote Sensing. Water💧💧💧is becoming increasingly scarce, so more dams are being built as critical infrastructure projects. However, most dams are in remote areas, and inaccessible terrain conditions make ground-based monitoring inefficient. Low-cost, regular, consistent, and comparable satellite images are the way forward for dam construction monitoring. Satellite images provide unparalleled visibility for dam construction progress and ongoing structural health. High-resolution optical and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data enable periodic change detection, allowing engineers to track progress, detect anomalies, and compare with set goals precisely. By leveraging satellite data and derived information, project managers can: 1️⃣ Track progress in near real-time over web and mobile platforms, 2️⃣ Visualise the same images, whether on-site or far away in head office, 3️⃣ Analyse periodic time series images to see how the construction progressed, 4️⃣ Go back in time and check for any missed details. You can retrace them using time series images, 5️⃣ Enable progressive disbursement of capital expenditures, 6️⃣ Optimise resource allocation. Key Benefits: 👉Progress Tracking: Remote sensing offers a bird's-eye view of construction sites, allowing for accurate assessments of work completed, 👉Financial Control: Precise progress monitoring enables the staged release of funds, improving cash flow management and reducing financial risks, 👉Enhanced Reporting: High-resolution imagery provides compelling visual evidence for stakeholder updates and regulatory compliance. Satellite remote sensing revolutionises dam construction monitoring, offering a robust asset management and financial control tool. As this technology continues to develop, we can expect even greater efficiencies and insights in the future. The Eartheye Space platform enables managers to plan all future data acquisitions. Five reasons Satellite Tasking is crucial for climate change action. Climate change demands innovative solutions, and advanced satellite tasking is at the forefront of this battle. Archived satellite imagery falls short of the precision, timeliness, and depth of data needed for critical climate action. Here's why investing in advanced satellite tasking enables more informed intelligence: 1️⃣ Targeted and timely: Satellite technology lets you capture what you need and when you need it. This level of control is crucial for monitoring rapid environmental changes such as fire, flood, landslide, and other disasters. 2️⃣ Cutting-Edge technology: It employs advanced imaging techniques that provide unparalleled insights into biomass, canopy heights, and carbon sequestration potential. 3️⃣ Scale of operations: Both global and local factors influence climate change. Satellite tasking allows medium and very high-resolution datasets to meet the scale requirements. Satellite tasking ensures you are ahead of the curve. 4️⃣ Beyond the Visible Spectrum: Hyperspectral, including Greenhouse Gas (GHG) sensors, can capture data invisible to the human eye, offering deeper environmental insights than traditional optical imagery. The proliferation of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sensors works 24x7 to help not miss a beat. 5️⃣ Near-Real-Time Intelligence: Tracking and taking action is urgent, whether it concerns deforestation or spikes in GHG emissions from known or unknown locations. By leveraging advanced #satellite #tasking, we are not just observing our changing planet—we are equipping ourselves with the tools to make informed decisions and take meaningful action against climate change while also monitoring the impact of our actions on the set goals. 🌏 Eartheye Space makes Climate Action uber-easy. #ClimateAction #Satellites #Sensors #Tasking #EnvironmentalMonitoring #EarthObservation #RemoteSensing #GeoSpatial #EartheyeSpace

Indices on the fly! Spectral indices or band maths offer a quick way to analyse remotely sensed data on land cover use and types. The band combinations start with multispectral data and extend to hyperspectral. Beyond a snapshot in time, a time series view of an index provides further insights into the changing landscape or a quick change-detection analysis. Eartheye Space delivers this added-on information on the fly, with tasked data and no additional software or hardware to process the data, making the process efficient and the user productive. While we start with NDVI, NDRE from many four bands and above sensors on the platform, over time, we will continue to add more indices to provide information about: 1️⃣ Agriculture or vegetation: a.
