🎉 New Investment🎉 ENGIE New Ventures is thrilled to announce its new investment in CarbonBlue an innovative #startup developing water-based #Carbon Dioxide Removal ( #CDR ) technology. CarbonBlue’s Direct Water Capture technology  stands out for its ability to utilize any type of #water in its environmentally friendly chemical process. This universal water compatibility allows CarbonBlue to integrate with water-utilizing facilities, including critical infrastructures such as #desalination plants. Thank you to the ALPINOV X team for welcoming us this morning with Franck Lacroix, EVP in charge of the Energy Solutions Business Line, and his team. ALPINOV X has developed an innovative vacuum cooling technology using water as the sole refrigerant. This paves the way for cooling production solutions with a low environmental footprint and high energy performance. Our equity investment via ENGIE New Ventures at the end of 2022 has enabled a very promising collaboration with this Grenoble-based start-up. In the technological field, thanks to Cylergie, our research centre based in Lyon, specialising in the development of low-carbon solutions for our industrial and local authority customers. But also in the operational field with the launch of a pilot of the latest generation of ALPINOV X machine in a production station of Fraîcheur de Paris, the largest cooling network in Europe. The signing today of the collaboration agreement between ENGIE and ALPINOV X materialises the shared desire to enhance our collaboration in order to make a difference in the cooling network industry. With more than 100 networks worldwide and a strong commitment to development, ENGIE is asserting its leadership by unlocking the innovation potential. La semaine dernière, à Viva Technology, nos équipes ont fait la démonstration de l’impact que peuvent avoir ces #innovations dans les activités infrastructures d’ENGIE. ⚡ Dans les réseaux de transport électrique, amenés à jouer un rôle de plus en plus important face à l’augmentation de la demande électrique, des solutions de conduite autonome de #drones sont à l’essai. Ces drones sont une réponse concrète aux enjeux de #sécurité de nos collaborateurs en évitant une partie du travail en hauteur, aux enjeux environnementaux pour minimiser l’impact sur la végétation pendant les phases de construction, et aux enjeux de disponibilité de nos installations en permettant d’identifier les maintenances préventives à réaliser. Ces innovations contribueront à notre objectif de 10 000 km de réseau de transport électrique en service en 2030. ♻ Dans le #biométhane, ENGIE New Ventures a récemment investi dans deux #startup, CryoCollect SAS et WASE LIMITED. La technologie CryoCollect permet de capter le bioCO2 issu de la méthanisation tout en apportant un procédé innovant de liquéfaction de ce bioCO2. Wase développe un procédé permettant, grâce à des bio électrodes dans le digesteur, d’augmenter de 30% la production de biométhane. Ces technologies contribueront à renforcer la performance de nos unités de production. L’#IA nous apporte aussi des solutions comme #AI for Biogas qui identifie le mélange optimal d'intrants pour une production optimisée. Toutes ces innovations participeront ainsi à l’atteinte de notre objectif de 10 TWh de production annuelle de biométhane d'ici 2030 en Europe. [New investment 🎉] ENGIE New Ventures is delighted to announce its new investment in CryoCollect SAS, a French #startup developing technologies for gas treatment, purification & liquefaction, especially well-suited for #biogas #CO2capture. ENGIE New Ventures led the €4m financing round, with GTT Strategic Ventures co-investing to support the development of CryoCollect. The company has especially pioneered the capture, purification & liquefaction of carbon dioxide contained in the off gas derived from anaerobic digestion (biogas), leveraging a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers, combining high-level scientific expertise with robust industrial know-how. This new investment in CryoCollect will contribute to ENGIE target to have a #biomethane production capacity of 10TWh per year in Europe by 2030.
