Reflecting on the “The Same Same” Festival 🌟 organised by How Are You (haywecare) This past Saturday, I had the privilege of speaking at the Same Same Festival alongside with Kitson Leonard Lee. It was inspiring to see so many passionate individuals from the 3P sectors—People, Private, and Public—come together to discuss how we can make a lasting impact through CSR and ESG practices. During my speech, I emphasized that CSR isn't just about checking boxes or fulfilling a day of community service. Donating money is a start, but true CSR requires integrating social responsibility into the very DNA of our businesses. It’s about taking real ownership of the impact we make on society. As a co-founder of an AI company, I believe in the power of technology, but I also firmly believe that AI alone cannot replace human qualities like humanity, passion, and empathy. Therefore, community involvement is also becoming a key factor in job hunting. Employers are looking for the x-factor—the passion and empathy that AI can never replicate. These qualities are what make us unique and invaluable. We must be mindful that "doing good" doesn’t lead to unintended consequences. It's crucial to research, understand ground realities, and ensure our efforts truly benefit all stakeholders. It’s not just about doing good—it’s about doing good well.
