YAGEO Technology Engineers Talk about: Monitoring and Control of Battery Management Systems The battery management system (BMS) is responsible for monitoring and controlling each battery module during charging and discharging to improve performance, safety and service life. BMS is mainly divided into two parts: real-time monitoring and battery balancing control. 1. Structure and Function Real-time monitoring includes monitoring of battery voltage and temperature to prevent any battery from reaching 100% or 0% status, thereby protecting battery health. 2. Battery Monitoring Controller The battery monitoring controller collects data and communicates with the vehicle central network. The battery pack adopts a master/slave configuration, using isolation transformers or common mode chokes to prevent noise interference. 3. Safety and Communication Data is transmitted via a serial communication bus using SPI or safe-TI protocols.
