Most inboxes show a preview snippet next to your subject line. If it says: ❌ “Having trouble viewing this email? Click here.” ❌ “Unsubscribe | View in browser.” You’ve lost an opportunity. Use it to reinforce your subject line instead: ✅ “Your early access ticket expires tonight.” ✅ “Agenda just dropped—see what’s inside.” P.S.: Got a minute? Surprise: Some of the highest-converting registration emails aren’t the ones with stunning visuals. Why? ✅ They feel personal. Looks like a direct message from a colleague. ✅ They load instantly. No formatting issues, no slow-loading graphics. ✅ They dodge spam filters. Heavy HTML and images = higher chances of getting blocked. Don’t underestimate the power of a well-written plain-text email. Some event confirmation emails are so bad, they make you wonder if you actually signed up or just imagined the whole thing. No details, no next steps, just a generic “Thanks” and radio silence. Got one like that before? Drop it in the comments. (Also, if your event emails could use an upgrade, we’re putting together a set of no-fail templates that actually get attendees to show up. More on that soon.)

Before tech bros, there were TECH WOMEN. People act like “𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡” is some new movement. It’s not. ✓ The first-ever computer programmer? Ada Lovelace. ✓ The code that got us to the moon? Margaret Hamilton. ✓ Wi-Fi and Bluetooth? Wouldn’t exist without Hedy Lamarr. Tech has always had women at its core, just without the loud applause. Same with events. So if you’re out there running the show, fixing things last minute, or making everything run like clockwork, 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲! You’ve been doing this all along.

You maybe making event decisions based on assumptions. A full room looks great. A long registration list feels like a win. But are those numbers telling you what really worked? People show you what they care about - not just with words, but with what they do. The sessions they stay for. The booths they avoid. The moments they lose interest. If you’re only looking at attendance, you’re missing what matters. The truth is: • A big crowd doesn’t mean they’re engaged. • High registrations don’t mean high impact. • A session that starts full but empties halfway through isn’t a success. The real questions are: • What caught attention and what didn’t? • Where did attendees get value? • Which moments made an impact, and which fell flat? Your attendees are already giving you the answers, you just need to pay attention. Before your next event, ask yourself: Are you planning based on guesses, or are you actually listening? And if you’re ready to stop guessing, start here: https://lnkd.in/dRQ3n9Zm
