Inspiring the next generation of women in STEM this IWD! 🚀 #GrabSingapore welcomed a group of bright young minds from the School of Science and Technology, Singapore (SST) for a Girls-in-STEM Learning Journey. From exploring how AI powers everyday solutions to an exciting office tour (cue the wow moments 🤩), the day was all about sparking curiosity and showcasing what’s possible in tech. The real highlight? A hands-on product design session where the girls tackled real-world problems from our core businesses. It was incredible to see their creativity and problem-solving skills in action! Our women Grabbers also shared their own career journeys, showcasing the diverse and rewarding career paths available at Grab. We wanted to demonstrate that a future in tech for women is not only possible, but incredibly exciting! A huge thank you to the students and teachers from SST for their energy and enthusiasm, and to our Women at Grab Inclusion Committee for making this happen. Autonomy has been on our radar for years—but if we’re being honest? We still don’t have all the answers 🤔 What we do know is that AVs aren’t just a far-off possibility anymore. Our new partnerships will help us explore the role AVs could play in our transportation ecosystem—whether that’s improving road safety or creating upskilling opportunities for our driver and delivery partners in the autonomous industry. For now, our goal is simple: to understand the ride-share and delivery use cases by speaking and listening to as many people as we can. And more importantly, to explore how autonomy can complement the millions of driver and delivery-partners on our platform—by plugging supply gaps or service shortfalls where needed.
