Mega Careers and Study Fair 2024 ✅ Last weekend, our Malaysia team had a fantastic time connecting with everyone at our booth! In celebration of the event’s Merdeka theme, we adorned ourselves in beautiful kain batik. Meanwhile, our booth was designed to reflect the core values we uphold at Great Eastern. This year’s theme revolves around empathy and collaboration, and we were excited to bring this spirit to MCASF! We featured a mirror for visitors to take selfies, reminding them that they are doing GREAT as they are, and a wall of good vibes to spread positivity ❤️ We were thrilled to be joined by Dennis Tan, our Division Head of Human Capital, on Saturday, and Theng Theng kerk Theng Theng, our Head of People Culture and Rewards, on Sunday. Yeoh Zi Lin, during the MACS Industry Mentorship Appreciation Ceremony for AY 2023-24 on 13th July, shared her experience of being mentored by Mr Chang Yueh Loke, Chief Financial Officer at GREAT EASTERN Life Malaysia Mr Chang Yueh emphasised the importance of "Embracing Purpose-Driven Values" to her. He advised, “The journey ahead will not be straightforward – there will be ups and downs. We should never let success go to our heads and never let failure enter our hearts. Purpose-Driven Education nurtures emotional intelligence, teaches time management strategies, and fosters a positive mindset, self-confidence, interpersonal and communication skills, and a sense of purpose. The MACS Industry Mentoring Programme 2024 connected final-year students of Actuarial Science and Statistical Data Science (SDS) with industry professionals, preparing them for the transition to employment. Our recent townhall at Great Eastern Singapore was an epic double celebration and it was an absolute blast! The theme of the townhall, “Celebrating Success Big and Small,” reflected our organisation’s sense of community and recognition of our collective achievements. In addition to marking our anniversary, we also celebrated our Kincentric Awards wins as one of the Best Employer in Singapore and being recognized as of one of the Most Engaged Workplaces in Singapore for the second year in a row! Our Great Eastern Women’s Run 2023 won an award for being one of the Best Consumer Event – Health/Wellness/Fitness. Thank you Marketing Interactive for the recognition. Our annual Great Eastern Women’s Run celebrates women from all walks of life, providing them with a platform for friendship, wellness, and community. In the lead-up to the Great Eastern Women’s Run 2024 on the 27 October, we also have a fitness challenge exclusively for #GEWR2024 participants. The Great 116 will be taking place on Sunday 1 September 2024, at the OCBC Square, Singapore Sports Hub.
