"Another exciting project I worked on is FlyAnywhere which enables users to redeem their max miles for any trips that they have booked. This really opens up a new way for our users to utilise their miles and fulfilling our mission to give users a free trip every year! And of course, I’m always working on new and exciting features! Stay tuned!" Wei Hong values heymax's positive company culture, enjoying the camaraderie and social events like BBQs and potlucks. His contributions to the company have been significant, including his work on the homepage hub, which improved the app's browsing experience. As a recent university graduate, Wei Hong is still enjoying the freedom of weekends. He balances his time by playing badminton, going to the gym, meeting up with friends, and indulging in personal interests. While Wei Hong hasn't encountered major challenges at heymax, he has recently become a passionate advocate for the company, sharing his referral code and encouraging others to join the team!

Over the past 3 months, I had the incredible opportunity to be a Software Engineer Intern at heymax.ai | Gives You a Free Trip, Every Year. Initially, I had some hesitations about joining a startup, having heard many stories from peers about the challenges such environments can present. However, after working alongside a team of exceptionally talented and driven individuals, I can confidently say that this experience has been nothing short of transformative. During my time at Heymax.ai, I had the opportunity to: • 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 using Next.js, TypeScript, Flask, and Python, which significantly enhanced my technical skill set. • 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 on impactful projects such as the Shopee product paste link feature, various campaigns, and PayNow integration where I contributed to high-visibility initiatives that directly influenced user engagement. • Work on 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 from Firebase to PostgreSQL, gaining a deep understanding of database management. The collaborative spirit and innovative culture at Heymax.ai far exceeded my expectations. I’m particularly grateful to Wang Ke, Sumit Sen and Jialu Zhong for their unwavering support and mentorship. Your guidance made even the most complex challenges not only manageable but genuinely enjoyable. I also want to extend my deepest thanks to Joe Xizhi Lu and Sean Dy, for sharing their invaluable insights on data and business strategy, which greatly enriched my understanding of the broader impact of our work.
