A warm welcome to Singapore to the italian navy ship #AmerigoVespucci, the "most beautiful ship in the World". Today #VillaggioItalia hosted the #GlobalStartupProgram Demoday, bringing on stage the excellences of the italian fintech sector. Our 6 startups had the opportunity to pitch in front of a public of 50 potential investors, venture capitalists, banks, consultants and important local stakeholders. Keynote speaker Deputy Minister for Enterprise and Made in Italy, Valentino Valentini, highlighted the importance of the startup ecosystem for the economic and technological development of Italy, providing innovative and creative solutions to the "made in italy" traditional sectors. Following the Director of ITA - Italian Trade Agency - Singapore gave more details about the program and shared some key figures on the fintech sector in Italy. Speeches by Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy and Cdp Venture Capital enhanced the understanding of the Italian startup regulatory frame, together with an comprehensive overview on the largest Venture Capital manager in Italy. A big thank you goes to Ministero della Difesa and Marina Militare Italiana that made our event even more special with the presence of the Vespucci ship in its world tour to Singapore.
