Women, Words & the Power of the Mic 🎤 We build teams, champion diversity, mentor young talent, and juggle careers with family, community, and everything in between. But here’s the thing no one talks about Women. Who’s lifting us up? As we celebrate International Women’s Day, it’s time for a different conversation one that doesn’t just ask women to step up, but also asks: At what cost? That’s exactly what KeyNote - Women Speakers Directory, founded by Mette Johansson, is about creating spaces where women don’t just speak up, but speak for themselves. On March 13th, Serene Seng will take the stage to talk about something many women leaders face but rarely admit: 👉 How do we lead without burning out? 👉How do we support others without sacrificing ourselves? With her talk, "Leaning in Without Burning Out" Serene brings a much needed conversation to the forefront. Because being a great leader shouldn’t come at the expense of our own well-being. This isn’t just a keynote. It’s a reminder: You can lead and still take care of yourself. You can give and still set boundaries. You can be strong and still ask for support. Let’s celebrate Women’s Day by choosing both leadership and self-care. Because the strongest women aren’t the ones who do it all they’re the ones who know when to pause, breathe, and take care of themselves. 🎤 6 Women, 6 Minutes, 6 Powerful Talks Join us. Women, Words & the Power of the Mic 🎤🎤 Here’s the thing about leadership it’s not about waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect title, or the perfect plan. It’s about stepping into your power, even when the voice in your head whispers, "Am I ready?". At KeyNote - Women Speakers Directory, founded by Mette Johansson (MBA, PCC, CSP, GSF), we believe in amplifying voices that spark change, build confidence, and challenge the status quo. On March 13th, we welcome Dr. Lakshmi Ramachandran, PhD, PCC, a scientist- turned-leadership coach, who is on a mission to help professionals, especially in biotech, healthcare, and pharma, unlock the power of communication, emotional intelligence, and authentic leadership. Her talk, "The Power to Lead Is Within You!", isn’t about telling women what they should do. It’s about reminding them that they already have what it takes to lead, to inspire, and to shape the future. Because when we own our stories, trust our voices, and take up space, we don’t just empower ourselves we empower everyone around us. The world doesn’t just need louder voices it needs truer voices. It needs bolder, braver, and more self-assured leaders and that starts with us. 🎤 6 Women, 6 Minutes, 6 Powerful Talks Join us. Let’s speak to inspire. Sign up now! Women, Words & the Power of the Mic 🎤 Our stories have power. But for too long, women have been told to stay small, stay quiet, stay humble as if playing it safe was the way to success. That’s exactly why KeyNote - Women Speakers Directory exists. Founded by the incredible Mette Johansson, this movement is about one thing: putting more women on stage, in the spotlight, and at the center of the conversations that shape our world. Because representation isn’t just about being seen it’s about being heard. On March 13th, we’re bringing that mission to life with 6 women speakers sharing their powerful stories. We have Valerie Chow a powerhouse marketer, best-selling author, and champion for women owning their space. Valerie’s journey isn’t just about career success. It’s about reinvention, resilience, and courage the kind it takes to pivot, to show up, and to say, “I belong here.” Through her “I Am Remarkable” training, she has helped countless women and men unlearn self-doubt and step into their power. This isn’t just a keynote. It’s a call to action. To stop shrinking. To stop second-guessing. To take the mic, take up space, and take the lead. Come be part of this conversation. Because when women rise, we all rise. 🎤 6 Women, 6 Minutes, 6 Powerful Talks Join us. Let’s speak to inspire. Sign up now! International Keynote Speaker: Inclusive Leadership, DEI, Cultural Agility and Growth Mindset | Penguin Author | Triathlete (Ironman) | 6 languages | CEM (Chief Executive Mom)
Dear companies: Please don’t ask women to speak for free. As International Women's Day approaches, I'm receiving multiple inquiries to speak for organizations. A third of them for FREE. Like most speakers, I do a lot of pro-bono work: NGOs, summits, associations, industry panels… But speaking for free to talk about "women empowerment" for companies that have make a profit feels, well…quite DISEMPOWERING. Both as a woman and as a professional. Companies don’t expect catering vendors or photographers to work for free. Why is it different for speakers? It’s not just one hour on stage: it’s the curation, the rehearsal, the logistics, the mental preparation. It’s also years of experience and our IP. It’s our time and our work. It has VALUE. This is not about pointing fingers but finding solutions: Equitable solutions that do empower women (and all) Some suggestions: ✅ Budget ahead and advocate: - Why isn't there a budget? - How can you get one? - Whom do you need to talk to? ✅ Check the IWD website for resources and speakers' directory👇🏽 ✅ Partner with organizations that promote affordable DEI solutions (see comments) ✅ Organize your own event tapping into internal talent PS: this obviously applies to ALL, however as a woman speaker, I can speak from my experience.

Don't use #storytelling to inspire alone! I’ve never been excited by the idea of using storytelling just to inspire. For me, the most powerful stories aren’t the ones that simply evoke emotion—they’re the ones that challenge perspectives, reveal insights, and spark new ways of thinking. Maybe it’s my own bias, but I find complexity more compelling than sentiment or in other words, I enjoy solving the vexing mystery behind situations that impact humans more than human emotions. That’s why my approach to storytelling isn’t about making people feel—it’s about making them see differently. There are plenty of great books on storytelling as a tool for inspiration. But if you’re interested in how storytelling can sharpen insights and influence decisions, check out Strategic Storytelling: Why Some Stories Drive Your Success at Work and Others Don’t here : https://lnkd.in/gkvyYK7D This is a short clip from my 1st book launch at W Singapore - Sentosa Cove.
