Have you noticed our construction along the PIE, and in Boon Lay, Choa Chu Kang, Bukit Batok, and Tengah? That's the upcoming Jurong Region Line (#JRL) taking shape, which will significantly improve the connectivity of the western region and transform Jurong into an attractive place to work, live, learn, and play! Our engineers have been working hard to build through densely developed areas and tight spaces. To minimise traffic disruption and ensure safety for everyone, we have been erecting the viaduct segments at night and using quieter lifting machines to reduce noise as much as possible. Watch this video showing one of the 90-tonne segments being lifted into place to form the JRL viaduct. #FunFact The JRL will need more than 10,000 such segments to form all its viaducts. Stay tuned for more updates on the JRL's progress!
