The inaugural 𝘔𝘢𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘓𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 kicked-off on 3 October 2024, and was oversubscribed with more than 200 attendees gaining insights into innovative, mindful and sustainable building design and development. Hosted by NTU Asian School of the Environment (ASE), organised by CIFAL Singapore at NTU and supported by Mapletree, the lecture series is part of the 𝘔𝘢𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘦 - which was established in 2023 - to advance the field of sustainability through annual sustainability lectures and scholarships for NTU undergraduates. Thomas Heatherwick, founder of multi-award winning Heatherwick Studio, headlined the lecture to share his knowledge on humanising architecture through the balance of aesthetics and environmental considerations in building design. This was followed by an insightful panel discussion with Mr Heatherwick; Mr Craig Miller, Partner & Head of China, Heatherwick Studio; Dr Pang Chin Hong, Head of Group Sustainability, Mapletree; and moderated by Professor Adam Switzer from NTU’s ASE. The panel discussion explored the intersection of cutting-edge architectural design, sustainable development and nature-based solutions in Asia; and how these elements can shape the future of urban environments in Singapore and abroad.   Expressing Mapletree's hopes for the programme, Mr Edmund Cheng, Chairman of Mapletree said, “As a strong supporter of education and sustainability causes, Mapletree is committed to creating a positive environment and generating long-term sustainable returns. Mapletree’s Group Finance team attended the 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘋𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳 on 30 September which was held in recognition of Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s significant contribution to Singapore’s economic development during his 20-year tenure as Prime Minister. As part of Mapletree’s CSR support for the local communities, we contributed to the event organised by Singapore Business Federation, where proceeds from the dinner will be donated to several charities to uplift low-income households in Singapore. The charities are the Chinese Development Assistance Council, Eurasian Association, Singapore Indian Development Association, Yayasan Mendaki and SBF’s Foundation Employability Fund. #MapletreeCSR #appreciationdinner #localcommunity

Over the past two weeks, the 𝘎𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰 𝘌𝘹𝘩𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯-𝘗𝘌𝘈𝘊𝘌 𝘍𝘖𝘙 𝘈𝘓𝘓 welcomed a variety of visitors who viewed the exhibition and penned their wishes for a better world on the Wishing Trees at VivoCity. Among them, students from NAFA were invited to an exclusive tour where they had the opportunity to learn about with the motivation behind the exhibition and collaboration. On 2 October 2024, Mapletree and UNIQLO also visited the exhibition with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency and Save the Children International -- two out of three international humanitarian organisations whose projects are supported by the 𝘗𝘌𝘈𝘊𝘌 𝘍𝘖𝘙 𝘈𝘓𝘓 T-Shirts and captured in the ongoing exhibition. Our Netherlands team participated in the largest running event in the country, Dam tot Damloop 2024 in September; covered 16.1 km course from Amsterdam to Zaandam, and pushed their limits with every stride. Meanwhile, others tackled the 8 km Damloop by Night, racing through the illuminated streets of Zaandam. The event was an amazing experience and a personal achievement for every runner. The project features a stunning collection of 30 photographs captured by world-class Magnum photographers, Cristina de Middel, Lindokuhle Sobekwa, and Olivia Arthur who travelled to Ethiopia, Romania and Vietnam to capture moments of PEACE FOR ALL-funded support activities from their own perspective.    The exhibition runs till 4 October 2024 at VivoCity and is freely accessible to all. Our colleagues in Poland recently enjoyed an invigorating hour-long yoga activity. This wonderful experience allowed them to set aside their daily tasks, relax, and stay fit. The session, led by a skilled instructor, featured a variety of poses and breathing exercises that catered to all skill levels. Mapletree’s Learning Fiesta, held from 10 to 12 September 2024, was a dynamic three-day event aimed at fostering a culture of continuous and self-directed learning among employees globally. Themed “Value Creation – Driving Growth Together,” the 2024 edition was notable for hybrid format, combining in-person sessions at Mapletree HQ and online participation from all our staff across all markets. The event featured 12 learning sessions, attracting 3,393 non-unique learners, and totalling 4,909 learning hours. Sessions covered key sub-themes such as Real Estate Industry Trends, Resilience and Agility, Digital Transformation, and Sustainability. August was very meaningful month for us. Our flagship community initiative, 𝘔𝘢𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩, raised S$21,000 for Boys' Town and Beyond Social Services; dedicated over 360 volunteer hours with the involvement of 32 tenant companies and 260 Mapletree employees. This initiative truly reflects our continued commitment to the community.   One unforgettable memory from the past month would be our Mapletree volunteers rallying with ACES Care Limited to spread National Day joy to the seniors at St. Andrew's Nursing Home (Henderson), located near Mapletree Business City. The residents enjoyed a fun afternoon of games, singing and socialising!
