𝗞𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗶 2024 is now #onview at Maya Gallery! Angkatan Pelukis Aneka Daya (APAD) or Association of Artists of Various Resources, launches an exhibition showcasing a collection of work in various mediums by local artists. Marking the association’s 62nd anniversary, APAD also celebrates the dedication of members, pioneer artists and emerging talent. Kontemporari is APAD’s core exhibition series organised yearly. This year’s show explores the theme of 𝑀𝑒𝑘𝑎𝑟 (which means blossom in Malay), signifying APAD members’ artistic growth and development. Featured artists: Dr. Iskandar Jalil, Abu Jalal Sarimon, Azri Alwi, Dino Hafian, Dzaki Safaruan, Faith Fadilah Ali, Fazelah Abas, Idris Ali, Jeffrey Wandly, Kamal Dollah, Khairul Faizin, Lihin, Masturah Sha’ari, Mayang Sari, Mok Asan, muddmitaq, Noor Rahman Saini, Ramlin, Razali, Saiman Ismail, Samad, Sujak Rahman, Syazana Yassin, and Yusoff Abdul Latiff Guest artist: Dr. Irene S. 𝑹𝒆𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 2 is currently showing at Maya Gallery. Presenting close to 40 works across various mediums, the theme of reflection invites one to embark on a personal journey, explore connections and relationships, and make sense of the world around us. In this exhibition, 12 artists convey their messages of reflection by evoking a sense of intimacy, tranquility and warmth through the use of reflective light and monochromatic colours, transporting us to a different mood, time and place.
