You want to know why she lost? This #video gives some insight... And again, this is the #JoeRoganExperience so high brow folks will dismiss the point because they think Joe is a moron and his audience are therefor morons. Sure when Joe has some guests' on, he can be hard to listen to... but when he has on folks who are interesting, it's like you're in the conversation and he is an engaging interviewer. And if we look at his interviews with Trump, JD Vance and Elon in the past week, you have well over 250million views... indeed in his victory speech, Dana White gave a special thanks for Rogan. Sadly we didn't get to hear Kamala or even Walz on this platform. I genuinely thought Kamala would have been able to come across to her audience but clearly the Democrat Party Machine thought otherwise. Still it's water under bridge and I am guessing 2028 will involve a very different media landscape. Anyone who thinks Rachel Maddow or Anderson Cooper defines the zeitgeist is probably watching reruns of their side losing. Special call out to pollsters... you guys are truly soothsayers, clinging to data sets that are basically as accurate as crystal balls and tarot cards... Indeed I think I would believe an astrological reading more than the guy who told me Kamala was going to win. So here we are... election day over... and a truly new political dynamic that American's are now waking up to. I am hoping Kamala can give a concession speech that walks back Trump as H*tler. The weaponization of language and the hyperbole need to stop. The results are in... we have a winner so let them get on with it. Are you happy with todays result or are you enjoy a gin and tonic and wandering what's next.... I think I may be somewhat in between. 😀

🆃🅷🅴 🆁🅸🅶🅷🆃 🅼🅸🅽🅳🆂🅴🆃... 🅲🆁🅴🅰🆃🅸🅽🅶 🅱🅴🆃🆃🅴🆁 🅷🅰🅱🅸🆃🆂 I am going to quit smoking 🚬 once I've finished this pack... I am going to start exercising 🚶♂️➡️🚶♀️tomorrow... I think most of us have any number of things we may want to do... I sure know I intended to quit smoking a few times... It was always after I finished a pack, and of course there was always a new excuse and a new pack... Our Habits are the Invisible Architects of Our Lives Our daily habits—whether mental, physical, or emotional—shape our outcomes. Every small decision adds up, influencing our health, success, and overall fulfillment It’s easy to say we want something, but it’s our consistent actions, even the smallest ones, that dictate the results. We don't get what we want in life. We get our habits. Whether you're trying to break an old habit or form a new one, consistency and focus are key. Start small, stay committed What habits are you building today that your future self will thank you for? I'm now off to do a MacRitchie walk, talk and debrief with one of my favorite people. If you would like to know more... and if you're in Singapore and want to go on a decent walk, drop us a DM #Habits #Transformation #PersonalGrowth #Mindset

𝓗𝓞𝓟𝓔 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓖𝓡𝓐𝓣𝓘𝓣𝓤𝓓𝓔 I really appreciated seeing this #video... thanks Paul for helping provide a 418km high perspective. We are headed into a precarious few weeks where tensions will be high and regardless of what happens, there will be a lot of upset folks. There is nothing I can do to change any of this... indeed, my power is in managing my response and in how I interact with folks around me. As such, I am grateful I got to go on a lovely walk today at MacRitchie with some wonderful friends... even if there are some sore feet and legs tonight. Whatever this week brings, try to take the time to meditate, walk, deep breath and know that whatever happens... try not to let the insanity of the moment impact your mental health, or your relationships. Again whatever happens the sun will rise and set in 16 different locations across our globe. Each is a reminder that life goes on, regardless of the chaos that may unfold. Hold tight to hope and gratitude, knowing that our strength lies in how we choose to respond, in the kindness we extend, and in the love we nurture around us. The world keeps turning, and together, we’ll find our way through. 🙏 Anthony Mayne CAHRI Krishna Shanmugam Mathilda Loh Karyn Aw Lionel Texier Ross Stewart Campbell Matthew Barsing Mawar Mayne Yvette Lim Michelle Brigman Dr. YONG Hsin Ning Francis Goh Anastazia R. ℍ𝕠𝕨 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕒𝕕𝕧𝕚𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕜𝕚𝕕𝕤? There's over $1.7 trillion in student debt—built on loans that aren’t forgiven, with legislation written by dodgy bankers, designed for courses that don’t prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow. That's just in the USA... let's extrapolate a little and the situation is even more stark. Are we giving our kids the skills they’ll need in a world of automation, biotech, and AI, or are we sticking them in a time loop of outdated knowledge? My daughter had an underwhelming day with her VCE biology exam in Australia, calling it “pure rubbish.” She knew the answers but studied like it's 2024 however the exam was written by those who graduated a long time ago and are counting down to retirement. She’s right. Rather than preparing them for advancements like #CRISPR, #geneediting, or #proteinfolding, they're being tested on outdated concepts that don’t reflect the fast-moving field of biology today. It’s 2024, folks! For Gods sake, catch up or retire already! By 2030, robots will be ubiquitous... they'll be making your coffee, driving your kids to school, and even looking after your aging parents. Meanwhile, our kids are stuck with exams written by committees that still think computers are new whilst they keep getting slightly better scores with Tetris. Education isn’t changing fast enough to keep up with the world our children are growing into. Or the world we are creating! Education needs a reboot. It’s time to stop relying on institutions that aren’t evolving and start guiding our kids ourselves. We need to encourage them to learn what matters, to embrace technology and innovation, and to question what they’re taught in class. Let’s teach them to explore AI’s potential instead of waiting for outdated curricula to catch up. The future is theirs, and it’s time we equip them for it. To all the parents out there: Don’t just support your kids in doing well on exams—support them in thinking beyond what’s in the textbook; because that book that takes 'a YEAR TO LEARN' can be summarized, taught and internalized in a month at most. Still, I remain an optimist, I am still in Victor Perton's territory... this is amazing tech that will mean my daughters may get to live to 150 and still be healthy. But it requires brave new Gen X leaders who can help navigate this terrain as our kids Gen (post 2005 kids) inherit a future in a symbiotic relationship with tech. I loved this #video... I love these conversations... the future is here boys and girls and it's exciting but it requires a bit of tweaking to get right. Yvette Lim Dr. YONG Hsin Ning Friska Wirya Anastazia R. 10 Cᴀʀᴇᴇʀꜱ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ʀᴇqᴜɪʀᴇᴅ ᴀ Dᴇɢʀᴇᴇ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴀʀᴇ Rᴇᴅᴜɴᴅᴀɴᴛ ʙʏ AI As #AI tech rapidly advances, it’s not only entry-level and repetitive jobs under threat but includes roles that have traditionally required a college degree. Here are some degree-required roles that are now, or will soon be, fully replaceable by AI: Financial Analysts – AI algorithms can process & analyze vast amounts of financial data in seconds, creating forecasts, risk assessments, and investment suggestions faster than humans. Paralegals and Legal Assistants – Document review, legal research, and contract analysis are increasingly managed by AI, streamlining processes & reducing the need for human intervention. Market Research Analysts – Market research functions can now easily be automated. Accountants and Auditors – From bookkeeping to tax preparation, AI-based software is capable of handling routine financial processes & even detecting anomalies in auditing tasks. Radiologists – AI’s pattern-recognition ability in medical imaging allows it to identify abnormalities in X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, more accurately & consistently than humans. Pathologists – AI systems can analyze tissue samples to detect cancerous cells with remarkable accuracy, reducing the need for manual cell examination by pathologists. Cardiologists (for Diagnostic Imaging) – AI systems are now capable of interpreting echocardiograms and identifying cardiovascular issues, enhancing speed and precision in diagnosing heart conditions. Ophthalmologists (for Retinal Imaging) – AI can identify signs of diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and other eye diseases by analyzing retinal images, supporting or even replacing some routine diagnostic work. Dermatologists (for Skin Lesion Analysis) – AI-powered image analysis is already capable of assessing skin lesions for signs of melanoma and other skin cancers. Pharmacists (in Dispensing Roles) – Automated dispensing systems and AI-driven prescription verification can handle many of the tasks. It's not today, but then these careers used to last from graduation to retirement, often with a decent house, well educated kids, driving a nice European saloon along the way. The shift of these roles to automation doesn’t mean the end of human contributions in these fields. Instead, it’s a signal that adaptability, creativity, and strategic thinking are becoming increasingly valuable. What advice would you give a recent graduate? What avenues of study are going to open up a student to a world of opportunities? What do you think? Are there any roles you’d add to this list? And how are you preparing for this new world where most current roles are akin to the horse and buggy factory located next to Henry Ford's shiny new factory? One tip.... #AI #LLM #ML requires a foundation of knowledge, skills in data analysis, and an understanding of how to ask the right questions.

🎃🪔 The Dance of Light and Darkness: Halloween & Deepavali 2024 🪔🎃 These two vibrant festivals originate from very different parts of the world and occurring at the same time interests me in how they bring the together themes of darkness and light in a unique way. 🌑✨ The last time these two festivals overlapped was in 1944.... before then I can't find a year where Deepavali and Halloween shared a day. Halloween traces its roots to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. Historically, this marked the end of harvest and the start of the "darker half" of the year, when spirits were believed to roam the earth. While originally a ritual for honoring the dead and warding off spirits, Halloween evolved into a celebration where we explore fear, the supernatural, and mystery. Now it’s a time when costumes and customs bring the “dark” into the light, letting us celebrate what often lies hidden. 🕸️👻 That and a way to bring early onset diabetes 😂 Deepavali, on the other hand, is the Festival of Lights, deeply rooted in Hindu mythology and celebrated by many religions and cultures in South Asia. It symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. Homes are adorned with lamps, fireworks light up the sky, and communities come together to welcome a new year and renew hopes for peace and prosperity. 🕯️🌟 This rare convergence of Deepavali and Halloween on the same day is a beautiful reminder that both light and darkness have their place in our lives. While Deepavali encourages us to shine brightly and dispel inner shadows, Halloween invites us to embrace and understand them. Together, they show us that every part of life – both the shadows and the light – adds richness to our shared human experience. ✨💀 Happy Deepavali to my friends and colleagues who celebrate! May this day bring you insight, joy, and light in every form. 🙏 ......................... The next 2 to 3 weeks will be a time when fear will be collateralized and tempers will flare. If you find yourself spiraling into darkness, reflect on the wisdom of this Festival of Lights by embracing peace and clarity. We share far more in common with our fellow human beings than we are often led to believe. Let’s use this season to carry out even the smallest act of kindness and brighten our own corner of the world. As Gandhi beautifully put it, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” One kind gesture at a time, we can create the light we hope to see in others. Dʏɴᴀᴍɪᴄ ᴀɴᴅ Iɴꜱɪɢʜᴛꜰᴜʟ Cᴏɴᴠᴇʀꜱᴀᴛɪᴏɴꜱ ᴀᴛ MᴀᴄRɪᴛᴄʜɪᴇ Late last week I got the wonderful opportunity to catch up with an old boss and friend Dean thompson. We got to complete the walk, rest for a while and celebrate at Khansama Tandoori Restaurant in Little India. I've been going there since the early 2000's and it remains my go to when I have a craving for a great curry. I followed this up with a walk with Douglas Streeter Rolph. Doug and I have been to a number of different events over the past few years and I always enjoyed our conversations. So at the recent launch of Francis Goh's book 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 (A must read if you're in the CX space), we penciled in a future walk. We followed up and I enjoyed a good walk and really interesting conversation on Saturday afternoon. One I am looking forward to continue on a future walk and maybe following up with a trip to Fat Boy Burgers in Upper Thomson next time. Over the past few years I have been on these and talks with so many different folks. It may be the same setting, but the conversation keeps evolving and whether the discussion is family, relationships, professional development, strategy, or just having a laugh, nothing is off the table. And better yet, it's amazing how 2 or 3 hours of exercise positively impacts ones mental health. So I am looking forward to a follow up with Yvette Lim this week and a few fly in visitors where the stop over now includes a hike and debrief. I may even need to drag along one of my favorite people Michel Birnbaum to destress ahead of next weeks election 😂 If this sounds interesting and you are in Singapore, or passing through, drop us a note. Uɴʟᴏᴄᴋɪɴɢ Yᴏᴜʀ Aɴᴄᴇꜱᴛᴏʀɪᴀʟ Rᴏᴏᴛꜱ: Wᴏᴜʟᴅ Yᴏᴜ Dᴏ ᴀ DNA Aɴᴄᴇꜱᴛʀʏ Tᴇꜱᴛ? I can't say I am not intrigued to find out through a simple cheek swab. But I am a tad nervous about giving away this amount of data to a random company. Would you take a DNA ancestry test? The Upsides: ✅ Identity & Heritage: Gain deeper insights into your origins and the migration patterns of your ancestors. ✅ Connection: Find distant relatives and build connections you never knew existed. ✅ Health Insights: Some tests even offer information about genetic predispositions, which can be vital for health planning. The Risks: ⚠️ Privacy Concerns: Recent breaches, like the one at 23andMe affecting 6.9 million users, show that sensitive data, including information specific to certain ethnic groups, can be exposed. ⚠️ Data Misuse: With companies accessing millions of genetic profiles, there’s the potential for misuse or sharing with third parties—possibly even with foreign entities. ⚠️ Emotional Impact: Discoveries might challenge what we’ve always believed about our families and identities. Would you unlock the secrets hidden in your DNA, or are you more aware of the potential risks? Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
