Every child deserves to feel safe 🤍 Child Protective Service (CPS) works with our partners like Singapore Police Force to prioritise the safety and well-being of children abused by their family members, including those who have been sexually abused. This involves maintaining a sensitive approach throughout the investigation process and empowering survivors on their journey. You too, can become a part of the network that supports these children and keeps them safe. Learn more about CPS and join us as a Child Protection Officer today go.gov.sg/cps-linkedinlife

"If you don't break out of the cycle of violence, the cycle will break you." It is encouraging that our social service professionals are seeing a greater awareness and willingness among the public to report domestic violence. More people are also being equipped to spot and report abuse, through MSF's Domestic Violence Awareness Training. Everyone has a role to play in addressing domestic violence, and we’re thankful to our partners, including those featured in this article, for working with us to build strong and stable families, and break the cycle of violence.

Such a heartwarming story! We are heartened to work hand in hand with our partners like Bless Community Services to keep improving lives in need, like Alex’s ❤️ Every step we make counts in building a more caring Singapore 💪
🌟A Small Gesture of #Care: New Spectacles for Alex* 🌟 Alex*, a 69-year-old who has faced his share of challenges. He could not #work due to his heart condition. After losing touch with his wife and struggling with a strained relationship with his son, he found himself in need of support. In May 2024, he moved into our shelter, hoping for a fresh start. Recently, Alex* lost his spectacles and unable to afford a replacement. Our Community Care Coordinator Joseph quickly stepped in, brought him to make a new pair at a very good price thanks to a kind-hearted church member! He expressed his gratitude, and we’re hopeful that with these new spectacles, he’ll be able to see more clearly! :) Now the Ministry of Social and Family Development, Singapore (MSF) is working with Alex*’s #socialworker on his rental #flat application. We hope he’ll soon have a place to call home! 💖 Share a heartwarming story that has touched your #life! 💖 #CommunitySupport #BlessCommunityServices #HeartwarmingJourneys #makespectacles #careeverystep

United Against Domestic Violence 👨👩👧👦 We released our first Domestic Violence Trends Report today. Data from 2021 to 2023 has shown a decline in cases with high safety and risk concerns and an increase in cases with low to moderate safety and risk concerns. This suggests growing awareness and willingness to seek early intervention and support, which prevented cases from escalating in risk. Domestic violence is not always easy to detect as it often happens behind closed doors. It requires everyone to be vigilant to report suspected abuse. Thank you to our community partners and agencies for your tireless work in tackling the issue of domestic violence. Every case of abuse is one too many. Let us continue to build strong and stable families where we are loved and supported ❤️ You can read our report at go.gov.sg/msfdvreport2024 #BreakTheSilenceSG
