Buy over build until proven otherwise: 💡 Why it Matters: Buying solutions minimises risk and saves time by leveraging existing, well-supported tools and platforms. Building from scratch is tempting, but often the complexity is hidden below the waterline. 🚀 How to Apply: Evaluate available tools or frameworks before developing in-house. Only build if unique requirements cannot be met externally. ⚠️ Guardrails: Ensure an assessment of external tools is performed before committing to build something. Chat with us to learn more about how we implement this principle in practice!

Back again — every Thursday, the M+ team gathers, orders lunch, and dives into a world of ideas. Here's a glimpse of what we explored in our Lunch & Learn sessions recently: 1️⃣ “Why Don’t We Have Better Robots Yet?” by Ken Goldberg explores robotics' limitations in decision-making and perception. https://lnkd.in/dd2ETAPf 2️⃣ “How do QR codes work?” by Veritasium gives a demonstrative breakdown of creating and functioning of QR codes. https://lnkd.in/d8D4XemJ 3️⃣ “How We Accidentally Started Making Infinite Robots” by Real Science reveals a system that produces infinite robotic machines. https://lnkd.in/gRzM77mr Here’s to more learning as we explore new horizons together — we’re open for video recommendations if you’ve got any 🤓

Effective processes stem from effective feedback loops: 💡 Why it Matters: Feedback loops are the steering wheel to allow continuous course correction. They ensure we're not just moving quickly, but going in the right direction. 🚀 How to Apply: Conversation with the customer. Retrospectives with the tech team. Automated user behaviour capture. ⚠️ Guardrails: Set clear criteria around the number of external & internal touch points from the very beginning. Curious about how we use feedback to shape our products? Let’s chat!

Gokula Krishna has been making great strides with a new conversational AI engine project. As part of his Fractional CTO work, he has documented an awesome CLI-based approach for background removal and addition in videos. While working on the project he found out that existing online tools were not good at background removal, especially for videos, so he found a better method with open-source tools which gave him better results, which he has outlined the entire process in his latest blog post. Whether you're working on AI-driven projects or just curious about improving your video content, this guide has some valuable points! Check it out, follow along, and let's continue to grow through shared knowledge: https://lnkd.in/gZgYXeRQ 🙌
