Credit or Debit? 🤔 When it comes to managing your finances, the choice between debit and credit cards can make a big difference in how you spend and save. We're here to break it down for you! When using debit cards, you spend only what you have in your account, limiting your ability to overspend! But debit cards have few additional perks, and almost always offer no generous reward programmes like credit cards can. 💳💰 On the other hand, credit cards work as if you're borrowing funds from the credit card company. They're helpful when you want to build your credit score, are in need of short term liquidity, or looking to score perks like airline miles. Some charges, like annual membership, are mandatory, whereas others, such as late payment or interest fees, only kick in if you do not pay back in full each month! In the end, it all comes back to what you need and your current financial situation! Had an insightful night yesterday at MoneyFitt’s exclusive event at UOB Kay Hian. Really grateful for the invitation by Ka-ming Lim to the GoodWhale - Investing Simplified team 🥰 During the event, the Singapore team Adrian Loh, John Cheong, CFA, ACCA, and Jonathan Koh from UOB Kay Hian shared about the challenges and opportunities in Singapore. One of the companies mentioned, which surprised me was Food Empire! Having met the founder and executive chairman, WangCheow Tan, for GoodWhale’s first #askmyleader or AML for short, this is definitely not the first time im hearing this company. (Shameless promotion alert 🚨: Do check out our AML and KYC series on GoodWhale - Investing Simplified’s Youtube Channel) Had a wonderful time after the session, meeting new friends, Joey Jiahui Ong, Kevin Susanto, Clarence Oliver and Reginald Indarsin 😎 Only wished I had more time to take pics 📸 with the UOB team 🤣 Looking forward to more events by MoneyFitt and my interview done with Amira Azli 😉
