Our Singapore team was delighted to support and participate in the K9 EmPAWer Walk 2024, organised by K9Assistance (Limited), a charity advocating for the acceptance and use of Assistance Dogs for the disabled in Singapore. The flagship walkathon event saw more than 220 participants take a 2km walk around Marina Bay as a show of support for the worthy cause of promoting Assistance Dogs in Singapore. As Punit Joshi, VP Strategy & Innovation, shared, "It is part of the BlueScope DNA to be a part of the community, and this means the whole community, including people with disabilities." Despite the rain earlier in the day, Lee Yee, Liew, VP Talent, noted, "It was raining heavily an hour before, but we took a leap of faith and headed out anyway for this important cause." Participants were also thrilled to meet Sienna, a four-year-old labrador retriever and K9 Assistance's first ambassador assistance dog. At NS BlueScope, we believe that a culture of inclusion is essential, not just for our workplace but also for the communities that we operate in.
