The Mindful Living Program 6 On 5 to 12 July, OCTAVE Institute Limited organized the 6th run of The Mindful Living Program for 44 participants from our Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia offices. This 8-day, 7-night experiential program was an evolving, continuous curation of the best modern practices from ancient Eastern mindfulness approaches, providing participants an integrated experience of our 8 Living Habits – Breathwork, Eating, Sleeping, Movement, Stillness, Worldview, Middleway and Celebration of Life.  This Mindful Living Program brought out the best in us, cleansing our mind, body, and spirits, and integrating them in our journey of I to We. We connected at so many levels, with ourselves, with each other, as a group and with the greater system of life. Some experienced new insights into our purpose in life, while others got in touch with their emotions deeply. Each experience is unique yet powerful. We truly appreciate all participants for being authentic and willing to let themselves immerse in this program, the shift in consciousness in individuals and as a group was clearly seen and felt throughout. This is but the beginning of the journey of self-cultivation, and we wish all participants joy, health, and at ease in their journey ahead! 🙏

Quantum Leadership – In-Person Conversation On 2 July, OCTAVE Institute Limited organized an in-person conversation on the Foundation of Quantum Leadership for participants from TPC Group. Our Chairman, Mr. Chavalit Frederick Tsao, was joined by two esteemed speakers: Dr. Kathirasan K (PhD, CMT-P), Founder CEO of the Centre of Mindfulness and Mr. Lucas Jiang, executive coach & consultant and an experienced business and people leader in the tech industry, with Dr. Kenneth Tan moderating as the panel facilitator. This panel discussion was the highlight and culmination of a three-week Quantum Leadership Foundation program that participants had undergone, consisting of curated learning materials and facilitated group discussions. The panelists engaged a wide-ranging series of questions, including areas such as business strategy and effectiveness, cultural and emotional understanding, interpersonal dynamics, leadership and consciousness as well as personal growth and well-being. The sharing and exchange were intellectually stimulating, moving seamlessly from deep concepts to real-life experiences and applications. It was certainly a great learning experience and discovery of the profound subject of Quantum Leadership, and participants were very excited to embark on this journey together! Quantum Leadership Two-Day Program By OCTAVE Institute Limited OCTAVE Institute conducted our second run of "Applying Quantum Thinking in Leadership and Sustainability Management to Foster Change, Transformation, and Resilience" program for the year on 15 & 16 May. In this program, we welcomed 14 participants and leaders from diverse industries and organizations, from global food services to semiconductors, who came together to discover a new approach to leadership, one that is purpose-led and values-driven. Participants learnt about the key principles of quantum mechanics and how they can be applied to leadership in complex & adaptive organizational systems as well as the importance of entangled relationships and strategies to leverage them to achieve desired outcomes. To accentuate key learning points, a series of interactive and experiential elements were incorporated including team activities, coaching triad practices and mindfulness exercises for participants to engage in. The program culminated with final presentations on the application of quantum leadership principles to specific organizational challenges, outlining the potential benefits and risks of the proposed approaches. Throughout this two-day program, participants gained valuable insights from the exchange of ideas and perspectives, experienced shifts in mindset and discovered new ways to enhance their leadership effectiveness at their workplace. Baking for the Community 🍪 – Sharing the Love on Vesak Day ❤️ OCTAVE Institute Limited, in partnership with Siglap Community Centre, welcomed a group of 60 volunteers to bake for the community on Sunday 19 May. Led by OCTAVE’s Culinary Director, Jeremy Nguee, together with Chefs Magdalene and Atom, volunteers came together and baked 2000 delicious cookies filled with love, joy, and care for distribution to 1,000 East Coast GRC residents on Vesak Day! The initiative is organized by East Coast GRC with grassroots organizations alongside several community and religious groups, with the aim to celebrate Vesak Day with residents and to raise awareness, about the meaning of Vesak Day. Volunteers from the Buddhist Youth Network (BYN), OCTAVE Institute and East Coast Harmony Circle took the opportunity to raise awareness about the meaning behind Vesak Day to those who received their cookies. The cookie distribution event was graced by the presence of the Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Dr Maliki Osman, who also came down to join the volunteers. "This initiative brings the East Coast community together across age, race and religion to connect and strengthen ties while making cookies together and then distributing the cookies in conjunction with Vesak Day ," said Dr Maliki. OCTAVE Institute is honored and filled with gratitude to be part of this event, to help support community development and strengthening of social ties, as part of our well-being mandate. We look forward to supporting more of these events in the future!
