Digital acceleration has overtaken all media channels today. Is the future of marketing media-led or truly only digital-led? During the recent Malaysian Media Conference by Marketing Magazine Asia, Eileen, Ooi Wei Ling, CEO of PHD APAC and CEO of Omnicom Media Group Malaysia, delved into the emerging trends impacting APAC amid the rise of CTV, the creator economy and retail media networks. However, she stated that while technology and digital media consumption create new opportunities for marketers, marketing fundamentals remain constant. Eileen concluded that the method of how advertising and marketing are delivered today, and the why and what of marketing remains consistent. She believes the future of media is not about digital but about being a people-based economy.
