About us
The People's Action Party (PAP) was founded in 1954 by Mr Lee Kuan Yew and a group of committed Singaporeans to improve the well-being of the people. The PAP's emphasis on multi-racialism and equality brought peace, progress and prosperity to Singapore within a span of fifty years. The party is currently led by Mr Lee Hsien Loong, who succeeded Mr Goh Chok Tong as Secretary-General in 2004. The mission of the PAP is to build a fair and just society where the benefits of progress are spread widely to all.
