On 10 July, we held our highly anticipated midpoint virtual event, where our top ten finalists shared the progress made in their mentorship journey and the milestones they have crossed! 🌱 From refining prototypes for pilot launches to receiving interest from international markets and grant organizations, our startups are working closer with PepsiCo and stakeholders to turn plans into action! Ashley Brown, Vice-President of Supply Chain ANZ & Chief Sustainability Officer, PepsiCo APAC, delivered a learning module where our finalists gained insights into how they could fit into PepsiCo’s supply chain to further drive sustainable outcomes. Finalist Alternō is dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and carbon emissions. 🌿 They are developing low-cost thermal energy storage solutions using batteries made entirely from sand. 🔋The stored energy’s heat can then be used to dry agricultural products. ALLEV is dedicated to reducing the carbon footprint left by vehicles with internal combustion engines (ICEs).
