🚨 New Property Cooling Measures Alert!🚨 In an effort to maintain a stable and sustainable property market, the Singapore government has introduced new cooling measures aimed at ensuring housing affordability for Singaporeans. Starting 20 August 2024, HDB will tighten loan limits and increase grants for lower-income buyers to ensure housing remains affordable for all Singaporeans. 🏡💰 These changes include: 🌟 Reduced Loan-to-Value (LTV) Limits: The maximum LTV for HDB loans has been decreased from 80% to 75%, this means the maximum loan amount you can take from HDB will be reduced. 🌟 Increased Enhanced Housing Grant (EHG): The EHG has been boosted to help first-time home buyers, especially those from lower-income households. For families, the grant has increased from $80,000 to $120,000, while for singles, it has gone up from $40,000 to $60,000. 🌟 Effective Date: These changes apply to resale applications received on or after August 20, 2024, including those where both the buyer and seller parts have been submitted to HDB.
