Last week, Protective Intelligence Network had the privilege of delivering an extensive, three-day intensive training program to officers of the Singapore Police Force, focused on Criminal Intelligence Analysis and Social Media Intelligence Exploitation. Held at a 5-star hotel in the heart of Singapore's CBD, this unique course enhanced SPF officers' analytical and reporting capabilities. The program featured realistic organised crime and counterterrorism investigation exercises, including police and intelligence reports, satellite imaging, wiretapping, and social network analysis, as well as the identification of mobile communications among criminal and terrorist associates. #AI - Artificial Intelligence and Security at NAUSS: A Pioneering Discussion with INTERPOL🚨 I had the distinct honor of speaking at an impactful event organized by the INTERPOL Innovation Center in collaboration with Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS), a leading and renowned institution in Riyadh (KSA),  known for shaping the security and intelligence leaders of tomorrow. The international event explored two critical themes: ·      Terrorism and AI: How terrorist organizations exploit AI for recruitment, propaganda, operational planning, and cyber-attacks, and how law enforcement is leveraging AI for intelligence gathering, predictive analytics, threat detection, and rapid response. ·      Organized Crime and AI: The role of AI in organized crime, from deepfakes and identity theft, to cybercrime, drud, human trafficking, and money laundering, cryptocurrency thefts .... The event also discussed how law enforcement and intelligence services may uses AI for surveillance, video analytics, forensic and intelligence analysis, SNA, SOCMINT, and investigations. Representing Protective Intelligence Network in Singapore, I shared insights on the growing utilisation of AI by criminals and terrorists providing practical example on AI hostile surveillance, reconnaissance, encryption, child pornography, sexual harassment, terrorism propaganda and the easy creation of deepfakes, and - at the same time - how numerous AI-powered tools can indeed bolster intelligence agencies and law enforcement security operations. The event brought together participants from various INTERPOL units, Middle Eastern police forces and government representatives, academics, federal judges from Brazil, and senior officers from the Hong Kong Police, French Gendarmerie and the Spanish National Police. A special thanks to Dr. Madan Oberoi, Executive Director (Technology & Innovation) of Interpol, Mr. Toshinobu Yasuhira, Director of the INTERPOL Innovation Center, and  Dr. Abdulrazaq Al-Morjan, VP of Training & Executive Director of the Center of Cybercrimes and Digital Forensics at Naif Arab University for Security Sciences for their kind invitation.
