Debt is a difficult challenge to overcome. But overcoming debt is an important first step for many households, to take control of their financial situation and work towards a better future for themselves. We are happy to partner with Credit Counselling Singapore to pilot their Financial Capability Building Support (FCBS) with debt relief programme. The FCBS programme aims to empower low-income Singaporean households in debt with financial resources and the know-how to take control of their financial situation. The FCBS programme will provide households with debt relief support, including for debts owed to licensed moneylenders and personal creditors, to give these households a leg-up in their journey towards financial stability. Find out more about the FCBS pilot here: https://lnkd.in/gwa64Zp6 #TransformingLives #EmpoweringCommunities #CatalysingChange

At Quantedge Foundation, we're driven by a bold vision—to do good, better. Our director, Suhaimi Zainul-Abidin, breaks down how we're turning capital into meaningful social impact, tackling the root causes of social mobility and paving the way for a fairer society. Grateful to Zat Astha for spotlighting our approach to philanthropy. 📖 Dive into the story: https://lnkd.in/gHjsBe4r #TransformingLives #EmpoweringCommunities #CatalysingChange
A large part of the work Suhaimi Zainul-Abidin is doing is about managing excess. At Quantedge (which recently won the billion dollar fund of the year at HFM APAC Performance Awards WOOHOO) he plays a double-hatted role in helping his client-investors generate excess so as to be able to park that excess to good philanthropic use. And over at Quantedge Foundation, Suhaimi is charting new philanthropic territory by exploring the delicate balance between capital accumulation and meaningful impact. I’ve long known about the great work Suhaimi and his band of merry investors are doing but it’s only after speaking to him for this interview that I have a better sense of the symbiotic relationship that Suhaimi created between capital and care. The work that he do banks on the notion that if excess is inevitable, it can — and should — be redirected toward long-term social betterment. His is an example of how financial acumen can be wielded as a force for good, aligning market opportunities with philanthropic outcomes, strategy with altruistic intentions. Still, there’s a deeper ethos at play here, one that Suhaimi has been quietly pushing in his personal and professional narrative — philanthropy is not about charity, it's about equity. It’s about ensuring that the massive gains of a few can level the playing field for the many. And in world where wealth disparity widens by the day, Suhaimi’s work is a timely reminder that financial success and moral responsibility aren’t mutually exclusive. They can, and must, go hand in hand. In this interview with The Peak Singapore, he explains how. Have a read.

#ICYMI: We had an inspiring session with David Thian who shared his insights and strategies with our #UniversityAccess awardees on building dynamic, meaningful careers which combine our diverse passions, interests and skills. Here are the key takeaways: 🌟Embrace your unique background: Everyone brings unique perspectives and skills to the table. Leverage them for success! 🌏Diverse experiences = Growth: Even seemingly unrelated experiences can provide valuable insights. Be open to learning in unexpected places. 🚀Career paths aren’t necessarily linear: Don’t be boxed in by one path – explore various interests, embrace opportunities, and connect them to create a dynamic career. 🤝Share and learn: Learn from others and share your experiences – these exchanges can spark new ideas and growth. #FiresideChat #TransformingLives #EmpoweringCommunities #CatalysingChange
