Enhancing safety and connectivity for two key regions, Pacific Canbriam Energy is proud to announce the official opening of the Haystack Road Bridge in Northeastern B.C. Canada. Part of the RGE group of companies, Pacific Canbriam Energy (PCE) took ownership of the previous bridge after it became apparent that it had become structurally unsound. With strong support from the community, PCE replaced and upgraded the Haystack Road Bridge, eliminating a two-hour detour and creating a crucial route during wildfires and emergencies, improved access to industrial locations, healthcare, education, and Indigenous cultural communities, as well as safe passage for ranchers herding cattle. The new Haystack Road Bridge links Hudson’s Hope and Ford St. John to the Altares Processing Facility and Kobes region, strengthening connectivity and the communities in which we operate. “This bridge is a transformative improvement for the region, made possible by collaboration and shared commitment,” said Kevin Hall, PCE’s construction superintendent. “It stands as a testament to the power of collaboration. Apical has unveiled its new Apical Innovation Centre in Jakarta, with food scientists and technical experts to customise solutions for customers.   The AIC is a creative hub under IDEAs—the Innovation, Development, and Applications Department—that fosters collaborations with our business partners. Using continuous self-learning and full-process intelligent management, Asia Symbol’s AI Water Management System conducts 24 hour real-time monitoring and dynamic regulation of water intake, treatment, and discharge. It uses precision sensors to collect water, predicts water quality, and optimises process parameters such as aeriation volume and treatment dosage. Apical has unveiled a novel way to make traditional batik crafting more sustainable - sustainably certified batik wax. Apical, a member of the RGE group of companies, launched the batik wax, made from RSPO certified palm oil, at the International Handicraft Trade Fair (INACRAFT2025). “The launch of this industry breakthrough highlights two points: First, that sustainability is not expensive. It’s something everyone can achieve. Secondly, sustainability isn’t complex. We’re seeing here how the cultural value of batik can blend seamlessly with sustainability,” said Prama Yudha Amdan, Head of Corporate Communications at Apical. “This reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability, creating positive environmental impact, and honouring local wisdom.” Developed in collaboration with the Laweyan Batik Crafters Community, WWF Indonesia, Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), Daemeter, and Control Union, this innovation uses Hydrogenated Palm Stearin (HPS), an RSPO-certified palm wax that is a more sustainable alternative to crude-based paraffin. Woodfibre LNG is making progress on the construction of what will be the world’s first net zero LNG export facility. The project kicked off in August 2023, and in the 18 months since, has made significant strides. From the introduction of a new “floatel” to provide accommodation for the project’s workforce, to the formation of a Gender and Cultural Safety Management Committee, Woodfibre LNG is laying the groundwork not only for the construction of a world-class LNG export facility, but also for integrating as an essential part of the local community. With a solid foundation and robust policies in place, the Woodfibre LNG facility is gradually taking shape. Bracell, a member of the RGE Group of companies, has planted 8,000 native trees on a 4.5 hectare area in São Paulo. This initiative has created an ecological corridor, linking native flora and promoting the active movement of local species, a critical factor for bio conservation. Carried out in partnership with Bauru Botanical Garden, the project aligns with Bracell2030, our long-term sustainability plan that has a focus on nature regeneration, promoting biodiversity and carbon neutrality. One of the key initiatives of the plan is the 1-for-1 commitment, where we pledge to conserve one hectare of native vegetation for every hectare of eucalyptus planted. “The establishment of ecological corridors is essential for biodiversity conservation,” said Gilberto Moraes, Senior Manager of Forest Planning and Control at Bracell. “This initiative reinforces our commitment to sustainable forest management.” Because while we produce to feed, clothe, and energise the world, we can also protect all that matters to us. A key milestone on our sustainability journey, Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) has achieved EU-BAT (European Union Best Available Techniques) certified standard, a leading environmental standard that requires industries to adopt the most effective technologies for minimising pollution and environmental impact. The certification procedure assessed APR’s compliance in energy efficiency, water and waste management, material usage, and air emissions.
