We’re excited to have expanded our e-scooter operations this week to include even more areas of Darwin, including Nightcliff and Parap, bringing an additional 200 seated e-scooters to the city. This expansion will power the increasing number of commuter journeys in Darwin, in particular night economy workers whom we know feel safer travelling home on e-scooters as opposed to walking. Surveys of Beam riders in Darwin revealed 73% of Darwin riders feel safer travelling on e-scooters as opposed to walking at night, particularly those travelling home solo. Last week, our Wellington team collaborated with Wellington City Council to bring a Beam Safety Academy to locals and visitors as part of Road Safety Week. The theme of the event was to remind riders to give 1.5m between themselves and others while riding a Beam. This was cleverly demonstrated by one attendee using a water noodle to show the distance riders must keep when riding. "It was a great way to finish off this year's Road Safety Week, and we thank all the attendees who showed up ready to have a go, and ask questions," said Beam's Regional Operations Manager (New Zealand) Jackson Jebaselvan.

Bendigo is Purple! 💜 We are delighted to have launched in Bendigo, marking the first e-scooter trial in the city. 250 e-scooters were deployed onto the streets in the town centre and surrounding areas in the early hours of the morning. Ned Dale, Beam's Regional Operations Manager (Victoria) was joined by Mayor Cr Andrea Metcalf and members of Bendigo City Council this morning at La Trobe University. Students and council members were the first to try out the purple fleet and it was smiles all round. Ned answered questions regarding safety, riding rules and even showed the Mayor how to get started! The team finished the day with a Beam Safety Academy where members of the public were introduced to the purple fleet. Attendees learned how to ride and park correctly as well as how to operate the easy-to-use app. Beam's e-scooters are poised to improve first and last mile connections to the train station and bus stops around the city, as well as provide uni students with an accessible mode of transport. "I'll be ditching the car now, that's for sure!" exclaimed one rider at the BSA. Read more: https://lnkd.in/g8m66eup

Beam Mobility Malaysia joined #JohorBahru on their Sunday #CarFreeMorning event, held every second Sunday of the month and initiated by the committees of JB Car Free Morning and Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru. Our participation in this event aligns perfectly with our mission of promoting sustainable transportation solutions in the city. 🌱 During the event, we distributed Beam-branded goodie bags containing reusable items such as portable glass cups (with glass straws), notebooks, tote bags, and RM5 Free Beam credits to encourage residents to embrace an eco-friendly lifestyle. We also sponsored an additional RM200 in Beam credits for the lucky draw winner! Since our JB launch in late 2023, we’ve been committed to reducing carbon emissions and supporting the region’s #SustainableDevelopmentGoals. Our e-scooter sharing service provides an emissions-free alternative to private vehicles, helping to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality. As we look ahead, we’re excited to expand our presence in JB and make our services more widely accessible to both locals and visitors alike in their commuting journeys. We are honoured to be able to collaborate with #MBJB, and look forward to working closely together in support of a greener Johor Bahru city.🛴 #BeamMobilityMalaysia #Escooters #SDG

This Road Safety Week, we’re calling on riders to Beam Aware, with a national safety campaign running across Australia and New Zealand. All throughout Road Safety Week, we’re encouraging riders to re-engage with their city’s riding rules and to take the in-app Beam Safety Quiz, where riders can earn free ride credits. Riders will also find additional on-the-ground staff throughout the week to enforce proper riding, educate riders on the riding rules in their city, and help new riders with their first trips. Beam’s flagship rider education and enforcement program, the Beam Safe Academy, operates at all times in every Beam city, reaching thousands of riders every day. Because even the safest e-scooter requires a safer rider.

We're thrilled to announce that Beam will power Wellington's shared micromobility program until 2026! We thank the Wellington City Council for their continued confidence in our shared e-mobility operations, and we're looking forward to playing a bigger part in how the city moves in the coming years. As we further integrate shared micromobility into the city's transportation system, we will continue our trajectory of technology upgrades, with Beam's AI-powered Pedestrian Shield technology to be integrated into a number of the city’s e-scooter fleet. This will be joined by Beam's Parking Auditor, aimed at educating and enforcing proper rider parking by accurately analysing riders' end-trip images. Wellingtonians have ridden over 2 million kilometres on Beams since we commenced our service in 2011, with 39% of trips replacing a car journey. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gMCy_33n
