Did you know that Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the single biggest predictor of performance? The leadership team of Anglican Preschool Services attended a two-day training course at ROHEI Learning & Consulting from 25 to 26 April to learn about EI. We live in a complex world and have to navigate many human relationships. it is therefore crucial for us to learn to recognise, understand and manage our emotions and that of others. A big shout out to the trainers and facilitators of Rohei for making the training interesting and highly engaging. This is our third training in as many years here and we thoroughly enjoyed each one of them.

The panellists and participants discussed how leaders can design modern, successful enterprises for the AI age. Praise observed that while Generative AI may have captured the hearts of many, it is still part of the genus of digitalisation efforts and needs to be supported with a structured change process. As part of Singapore Design Week, we attended a panel discussion moderated by Maish Nichani, cofounder of PebbleRoad, which looked at how leaders can design modern, successful enterprises for the AI age. Our DCE Praise Mok was invited to be on the Panel of AI experts discussing “Designing the Modern Enterprise in the Age of AI”. With sharing from Paul Chen, Nitin Jaiswal, Sengmeng K. 邱胜铭, the conversation was rich with many ear-opening opportunities for business leaders to explore. Here are 3 resources that might be helpful: 1. AI Readiness Assessment from AI Singapore. Ideally taken by an organisational leader, the assessment will let you know how ready your organisation is to pursue an investment in AI and the appropriate starting point. https://lnkd.in/gwhXfeXT 2. Amazon Redrock. AWS’ comprehensive suite can allow your organisation to use foundational models while using your own proprietary data in a protected manner. https://lnkd.in/g3wdm5_P 3. BloombergGPT. The financial services market leader's Large Language Model with 50 Billion parameters built for finance. Bloomberg has been developing AI like this for decades before ChatGPT captured the public's attention. https://lnkd.in/eFshtrmF With the proliferation of tools and opportunities, it has never been more important to collaborate, make sense of new pathways and bring out the best of our people. So glad to be in the company of AI experts last evening to discuss "Designing the Modern Enterprise in the Age of AI". My key takeaways: 1. AI has actually been around, often housed under different terms so it has not suddenly landed on us (even if it feels like it has) 2. Organisations are looking at this change with more optimism than concern; there is a lot less fear because the technology is so accessible and regulatory, compliance and privacy risks are being attended to along the way 3. There is lots of support that companies in Singapore can reach out for. Just ask ChatGPT or your preferred LLM ;) 4. Digitally-savvy leaders are needed to set strategy and recognise higher quality-AI-enabled ideas when they show up Thinking about all these opportunities, I feel like we have now an even greater need for leaders and managers to recognise, #facilitate, #curate, #fostercollaboration of wonderful possibilities that are bubbling up quickly from the ground. Many thanks Maish Nichani, Nitin Jaiswal, Sengmeng K. 邱胜铭 , Paul Chen Bridgette See for a most thought provoking discussion. Rachel Ong Rachel Khoo Franchette Briones Joel Mok
