Another exciting partnership annoucement from our portfolio companies: StepChange recently partnered with Credit Saison India to help them drive #sustainability across the organization and its lending activities! With their strong commitment to developing sustainability decision-making and analysis tools, StepChange is now measuring Credit Saison India’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions from their operations, along with their Finance Emissions (emissions from the activities they finance) aligned with the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) standards. This gives Credit Saison India a complete view of their carbon footprint, empowering them to make informed decisions that consider the environmental impact of financing activities. StepChange is also assessing the potential impacts of climate change on Credit Saison India's loan portfolio by evaluating both transitional and physical climate risks. =English follows Japanese= 先週開催されたIVS 2024 KYOTOのメインステージにて、「上場へのマイルストーン～注目のスタートアップがIPO＆スウィングバイIPOを語る」というテーマで、MUIPのKanako Satoがモデレーターとして登壇いたしました 😊 本セッションには、MUFGからのデット支援を受け、今年6月に上場を果たしたアストロスケールホールディングス 松山CFO、2022年MUFGの子会社入りを果たし、IPOを目指すカンム 八巻CEOと、スタートアップへの総合支援サポートを取りまとめている三菱UFJ銀行の塚原氏が登壇し、大企業の支援によるスタートアップの成長戦略についてが語られました。   同日はメインステージの他、弊社Takashi Sanoが5FステージでモデレーターとしてInsignia Ventures PartnersのYinglan TanCEOと登壇、グローバル投資家から見た日本のスタートアップエコシステムについてや、日本のスタートアップが今後グローバル投資家の注目を集めるために必要なことなどを議論しました🌏   また、今年のIVSではMUIP初となるサイドイベントをSaison Capitalと開催。MUIPの東南アジア投資責任者である廣田 隆介を含めたCVC投資担当者（Saison venturesのFumihide URATA氏, R3D3 VenturesのColin Cheung氏、Saison CapitalのQin En Looi氏が登壇。スタートアップがCVCからの資金調達をする上でのメリット・デメリットや、資金調達を受ける上でのスタートアップが持つべき視点と戦略、日本におけるCVCの置かれている状況が、今後どのように変化していくのかについて議論がなされました。   今回のIVSではMUIPとして各業種の様々な方々と繋がることができ、非常に有意義な時間となりました。今後もMUFGのCVCとして、海外および日本のスタートアップエコシステムに貢献できるよう活動してまいります 💪 We had a great time with lots of takeaways from IVS 2024 Kyoto last week. Some of our team members were busy with some of the event activities.    🔷 Main Stage Investment Associate Kanako Sato took the stage to moderate the session about "Journey to IPO: Perspectives of high profile startups about IPOs and Swing-by IPOs". Congratulations to our portfolio company OpenEden on receiving an “A” rating by global credit rating agency Moody's Ratings for its TBILL token, making it the first tokenized US T-Bill product globally to receive an “investment-grade” credit rating! This is not only an achievement for OpenEden, but also a significant milestone for the global RWA sector. It's a developing recognition and validation of the legitimacy of tokenisation by the traditional finance sector. This affirms OpenEden’s mission in building an RWA primitive for the DeFi ecosystem to access tokenized U.S. Treasury Bills as a source of on-chain yields - alongside a blend of different sources like options strategies, staking, and more. We're excited for what Jeremy Ng and Eugene Ng are building next to further increase access to TBILL tokens across more platforms and protocols, and create more use cases for the token!
