It was great to partner with Standard Chartered #Japan at this year’s #JapanDigitalWeek, “The Blueprint for Tomorrow: Unlocking Value through Digitisation and Venture Partnering” in Tokyo! Building on last year’s forum which was more exploratory in nature, this year’s seminar focused on emerging technologies, established use cases (especially in the space of AI), our strategy to build deeper partnerships with our clients in the region, as well as the strategic partnerships we've forged with Japanese corporates since last year.
We kicked off with an opening speech from Yusuke Asai, Standard Chartered Japan CEO, who shared how the bank's Japan segment is paving the way for a new era of digital commerce and finance. Following that, we brought together experts from the bank, our partners and leading startups to share their perspectives on the exciting opportunities emerging in the space of #Web3, #AI and more. Here are a few key takeaways:
Timothy Lo and Apurv Suri, from our client engagement team, explained how we're approaching client partnerships and our focus on leveraging new technologies to develop business models and joint ventures which better serve society.
Kingshuk Ghoshal, CEO of TASConnect, our supply chain finance platform, shared his experience co-creating TASConnect with Lenovo, and how integrating NEC Corporation’s CFO dashboard into the platform is empowering clients for data-based decision making.
Sunday Domingo, Global Head of Digital Platforms & Products, shared her views on technology trends in business & how the bank is incorporating these into our core business offerings.
Wrapping up the event, Yoshinao Tahara, Head of Transaction Banking Japan, emphasized the importance of #partnerships, and our focus on co-creating and forging strategic partnerships for new business models that better serve our clients in the region.
A big thank you to all our speakers and participants for coming down and sharing their insightful perspectives. It's through conversations like these that we can drive forward the future of finance and our clients' industries.
