For #WorldSustainabilityDay, we’re proud to share "Friend of The Sea", a short film produced by our partner Berge Bulk that beautifully captures the impact of clean-up efforts in Batam through the eyes of Bu Diana, a local community leader and one of Seven Clean Seas hero in Batam. Her story is a powerful reminder of why protecting our environment is so critical. We’re grateful to Berge Bulk for helping amplify this story, for their ongoing support of our mission, and for using their platform to bring this important message to the world. We hope to inspire more people to take action for our oceans and be mindful of their plastic use. 🌊 #SevenCleanSeas #BergeBulk #PlasticFreeFuture #EnvironmentalImpact #WorldSustainabilityDay https://lnkd.in/gNERRmXY

Last month, In partnership with the British Embassy, we carried out a mangrove cleanup at Khung Bang Kachao Urban Forest in Samut Prakran. During the cleanup, we collected plastic waste and conducted an eye-opening waste analysis exercise. The most common culprits? Plastic bottles, straws, and cutlery — reminders of the urgent need to tackle single-use plastics. The day wrapped up at Wat Chak Daeng Temple, where we introduced participants to our HIPPO system in action, demonstrating how our partnership with the temple is helping keep the Chao Phraya River free of plastic waste. We’re proud of this collaboration and look forward to continuing to work together to build a plastic-free future. Thank you to the British Embassy and everyone who made this impactful day possible! #CorporateSustainability #WeCleanSeas

We were excited to host 19 stakeholders on a recent Batam tour, led by our founder Tom Peacock-Nazil, Oliver Kade, Siti Kusmiati, Asrul Setyadi, and the other Seven Clean Seas team. During the tour, we highlighted our initiatives to tackle plastic pollution and promote sustainability. 🌊 Here's a recap of the key activities they experienced: - Community tour at Tanjung Uma – participants saw how plastic waste is trapped beneath community houses and learned about its environmental impact. - A visit to Setokok – they explored our cleanup site and witnessed our innovative recycled plastic roof tiles in action, providing sustainable solutions for local communities. - Bengkong River tour – Stakeholders observed our river barrier, designed to stop plastic waste from reaching the ocean. - Material Recovery Facility (MRF) tour – A closer look at how plastic waste is sorted and processed for recycling. It was inspiring to share our journey with stakeholders, highlighting the steps we’re taking to reduce plastic pollution in Batam. Their engagement is crucial to scaling our efforts and ensuring a brighter future for the environment and local communities. From plastic waste to practical solutions, the shredding process is one of steps in our recycling journey. This phase allows us to break down waste into smaller pieces, preparing it for further processing and transformation into sustainable materials. Through countless trials, we’ve refined each phase, from shredding to the final touch, ensuring the highest quality for the products we create. After numerous tests, this same process led to one of our circularity project — Roof Tiles that is recently installed in Setokok village.
