My HOD Johnny Tang and I just returned from an incredible trip to Thailand, where we had the privilege of attending ‘The 58th Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar’, curated by the Thai Red Cross Society at Siam Paragon (27/02/25 - 02/03/25). We kicked off our journey by visiting the Thai Red Cross Society on the eve of the bazaar and meeting the amazing team behind the event. Later, we toured the venue, witnessing firsthand how the bazaar was coming together. The opening ceremony, presided over by Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, was a true honor to attend. The bazaar was a vibrant mix of cultures, with embassies and local communities coming together to raise funds for charity. The energy was electric as long-time supporters eagerly explored the event. I couldn't help but admire the incredible stalls—I wanted to purchase everything! It's #InternationalWomensDay! We're casting the spotlight on just a few of the women whose work at the Singapore Red Cross makes an impact in unique and powerful ways. Florence Sim is part of our Community Engagement team, serving vulnerable older persons in the East of Singapore. Her days may involve anything from scheduling home visits and making follow-up calls to organising outings, coordinating pickups, or designing engaging programmes — she does it all to enrich the lives of our seniors.
