By using Shearwater’s high-end fleet – and supported by the company’s state-of-the-art technology – this collaboration, between Shearwater Ghana and local partner Destra Energy Group, represents an important achievement in accelerating our impact in West Africa. We’re cutting CO2 emissions on SW Amazon Conqueror’s main engines in a ‘first of its kind’ upgrade, giving more sustainable and efficient operations. New turbocharger components and a new camshaft design will optimise the combustion process to boost engine fuel performance on the modern, high-end streamer vessel. We expect fuel reduction of up to 1.5% and an emissions reduction of 600 tons of CO2 per year.  Shearwater is the first company to install this new engine technology, developed by Wärtsilä and Accelleron. It will provide tangible operational and environmental benefits for us and our clients as we work together towards a responsible future. We’re celebrating at Shearwater! We’ve been awarded a three-month extension to our major deepwater ocean bottom node survey in India. It’s already the largest deepwater remotely operated vehicle ocean bottom node survey in Asia, in depths of up to 2,900 m, and now, enabled by operation performance, will be larger.   This extension to our current operation shows that our dual ROV Pearl node operation on SW Tasman is delivering great performance for our clients.
