Alstom has deployed the first two upgraded trains on the Bukit Panjang Light Rail Transit (BPLRT) line in #Singapore. This deployment follows the system handover to the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore). The upgrade project, awarded to Alstom in 2018, includes replacing the existing Cityflo 550 fixed block rail control with the advanced Cityflo 650 Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) solution. The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) has issued a revised #bid invitation for the development of a Hydro-Floating Solar Hybrid Project at Srinagarind Dam Unit 1. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore (LTA) has awarded a USD590 million contract to KTC Group of Companies for the design and construction of the Jurong Lake District MRT station and its associated tunnels. This project is part of Phase 2 of the Cross Island Line (CRL). Construction works are expected to begin in Q4 2024, with passenger service expected to start in 2032, in line with the completion of CRL Phase 2. NEC Corporation has secured a contract from Larsen & Toubro Limited and Japan-based Sojitz Corporation to develop a communications system and a Facility Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition System for the #Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) North-South Line Extension Project Phase 2 in #Indonesia. The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has invited #bids for five key projects totalling PHP610.5 million for the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (#NAIA) ahead of the scheduled turnover to the San Miguel Corporation-led consortium. San Miguel Corporation (SMC) won the NAIA upgrade rights with an annual payment proposal of PHP2 billion, an upfront payment of PHP30 billion, and an 82.16 per cent share in earnings. Volt EV Charging, a subsidiary of Keppel (Infrastructure Division), has announced plans to deploy Southeast Asia’s (#SEA) largest electric vehicle (#EV) #charging hub in #Singapore. The public fast-charging hub will be located in Jurong and will be operated by Volt for up to 15 years. The site will feature up to 80 DC charging points.
