Spectronik has been awarded United States Patent No. US 12,092,132 B2 on 17 September 2024.   Invented by Maung Maung Zarli, Jun Jia Liew, Hao Shen and Jogjaman Jap, the patent titled “Mounting Device for a Fan Unit” describes an innovative design for quick and secure mounting of fan(s) onto a fuel cell system.   Competitive advantages compared to prior art include:   - Ability to lock/unlock fan unit in a single drop-in-and-twist motion without any fastener nor tool.   - Eliminate risk of fasteners (bolts & nuts) loosening and dropping into the fuel cell stack.   - Significant reduction in assembly time which translates to lower cost.   While the mounting device is primarily used for thermal management of Spectronik’s Closed Cathode Air-Cooled Fuel Cells, the invention can be universally applied to other sectors that utilize cooling fans in their systems.   Spectronik’s Protium Series Fuel Cells are already commercialized in 38+ countries worldwide and can be found in the air, on land, at sea and on rail – powering a host of Mobile Robots and Urban Electric Mobility applications. #Hydrogen #FuelCell #USPTO #Patent

PLN Suku Cadang is a company owned by 2 PT PLN (Persero) Sub Holdings, namely PT PLN Nusantara Power (51%) and PT PLN Indonesia Power (49%), both of which have business interests in the operation and development of power plants in Indonesia. PLN Suku Cadang provides supply chain solutions for spare parts, materials, and other supporting services for continuity and operational efficiency in the electricity, power generation, renewable energy sectors and other business fields. The Distributorship Agreement aims to achieve the following objectives: ✔ Promote Hydrogen and fuel cell solutions for Mobile Robots (e.g. drones, UGVs, AGVs etc.) and Urban Mobility (e.g. 2-3 wheelers, industrial utility vehicles, forklifts, compact EVs etc.) applications in Indonesia; ✔ Leverage PLN Suku Cadang’s expertise in supply chain management to provide cost effective fuel cell solutions; ✔ Manage business development, marketing and after-sales services of Spectronik’s products.   "We are proud to partner with PLN Suku Cadang. We have signed a partnership agreement with HAN Hydromotive – a forward looking and innovative eco-car team from the University of Arnhem and Nijmegen.   Under the partnership agreement, Spectronik shall become the official fuel cell system supplier of HAN Hydromotive’s vehicles for the next 3 years – ensuring that HAN Hydromotive gets up-to-date and best performance products every year. HAN Hydromotive will return used fuel cell to Spectronik for recycling – effectively promoting sustainability and circular economy. At the same time, HAN Hydromotive will provide technical data and user feedback.   The partnership is announced on the day of the Unveiling Event of HM 15 – HAN Hydromotive’s latest eco-car commemorating the team’s 15th year anniversary. HAN Hydromotive has incorporated numerous improvements to the vehicle – such as its body, steering and braking system, suspension and live data logger. HM 15 will be powered by Spectronik’s latest Protium Eco-Marathon (PEM) 450W Hydrogen fuel cell which promises better electrical efficiency and fuel utilization.   “HAN Hydromotive has been using Spectronik fuel cells for the past 3 years. Invented by Maung Maung Zarli, Jogjaman Jap and Hao Shen, the patent titled “Separator Plate for a Proton-Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell” describes the innovative fuel cell architecture used in Spectronik’s Closed Cathode Air-Cooled fuel cell products – namely the Protium-1000 and above. Advantages compared to the prior art include the ability to manipulate oxidant flow into the cells to optimize performance and cell uniformity, as well as the flexibility to scale the number of cells without fluid mechanics limitation. Spectronik Appoint Peraglobe As Its Authorized Distributor For India! Spectronik has entered a Distributorship Agreement with Peraglobe Technologies (“Peraglobe”) for the sales and marketing of Spectronik’s Hydrogen fuel cell products in India. The Distributorship Agreement was signed on 6 December 2023 following a 3-day visit by Peraglobe to Spectronik Headquarter in Singapore. During the visit, Peraglobe witnessed Spectronik’s Hydrogen fuel cell production capabilities, verified its products’ performance, and drove the Cruiser Hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Peraglobe is a professional Indian engineering company which provides end-to-end solutions in the domains of Automotive, Defense, Aerospace, Condition Monitoring and Institutional R&D. Peraglobe has identified a huge market gap in India for high-quality, portable Hydrogen fuel cell products for applications such as aerial drones, UGVs, AGVs, robotics, material handling equipment and small EVs. The use of Hydrogen fuel cells in these applications can provide longer runtime and faster refueling (charging downtime) compared to conventional Lithium-ion batteries. Spectronik’s air-cooled Hydrogen fuel cell products – the Protium Series, is perfectly suited for such applications and fulfil the market needs that were previously underserved by bigger liquid-cooled fuel cells.
