The Singapore Society for Mass Spectrometry (SSMS) is a non-profit organisation founded in Dec 2005 with the objective to promote and disseminate information on mass spectrometry within Singapore and the regional countries. SSMS sponsors the Annual Workshop on Mass Spectrometry, as well as hosts periodic seminars and informal meetings to share mass spectrometry-related research and technology advances. The International Mass Spectrometry Foundation (IMSF) is pleased to announce the award of the 2024 Thomson Medals to Prof. Jennifer Brodbelt and Prof. Rick Yost, for their outstanding achievements in, and distinguished service to, international mass spectrometry. Both laureates have made substantial and unique contributions to the development and application of mass spectrometry in interdisciplinary collaborative settings. They have been driving community growth and education forward in a way that the jury, consisting of the national mass spectrometry societies associated in the IMSF, found to be decisive in bestowing this honor on the awardees.
