We are proud to be a winner of the IBFSG - The Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore's Golden Jubilee Advance (Talent Development) Award, as we continue to uphold our commitment to help the country build a strong pipeline of banking talents.
Given our longstanding presence in Singapore, Standard Chartered Singapore holds a firm commitment towards helping the country build a strong pipeline of skilled talents for the banking industry. This is especially pertinent, as financial institutions here transform to meet emerging needs of the digital economy. I was honoured and grateful to represent the Bank in receiving the IBF Golden Jubilee Advance (Talent Development) Award from Mr Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Trade and Industry, and Chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) at the IBFSG - The Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore's 50th Anniversary Distinction Evening Gala, for our continuous efforts in developing young and mid-career local talents. Grooming the next generation of leaders requires deliberate planning and curated programmes, and we’ll continue to do our part to create the right opportunities for up-and-coming banking talents. In time to come, they can then take over the leadership baton and continue to help Singapore flourish as an international financial centre. Congratulations also to the other winners on the evening, and in particular, to Maisie Chong for being named an IBF Fellow, in recognition of her thought leadership and the role she played toward the industry’s development. #ibf50

Imagine navigating a stormy sea with an unsteady ship - that's what investing in a dynamic market can feel like without a solid strategy. Markets constantly evolve due to a variety of factors including economic shifts, technological advancements, changes in consumer behavior, and geopolitical events. Building a well-diversified foundation portfolio helps protect investments against this volatility. Diversification involves spreading investments across various asset classes such as stocks, bonds, real estate, and commodities. By doing so, investors can mitigate the risk associated with any single asset or market sector performing poorly. Each of us can do our part to contribute and give back to the community. Meet Adai 👋 a colleague who continuously makes the time to make a difference for the last seven years. When Adai first relocated to Singapore, he took part in a food packing initiative to connect with colleagues and learn more about the local community and culture. He soon became a core volunteer, organising one of our flagship food packing initiatives, just like the one that kick started his volunteering journey!
