Amid the daily hustle, our Secondary & JC teachers at The Learning Lab, Singapore took a well-deserved break to unwind with some hands-on leather crafting for team bonding host by Crafune! It was a time for us to relax and connect with each other while creating our very own personalised products. I'm absolutely thankful for this dedicated team of teachers and glad to have spent the afternoon enjoying the company and marvelling at each of their creation!

At The Learning Lab, Singapore (TLL), we pride ourselves in nurturing the love of learning in our students, but we don't stop there - we seek to inculcate this same love in our staff! This July, we launched our inaugural TLL Development Week, and we were thrilled to see 90 of our staff across our different departments actively participating 📚✨ Throughout the week, our staff got to select from a range of training sessions and workshops dedicated to fostering their professional growth and development. Last week, we brought 30 of our kindergarten students on a theatre excursion to watch The Gruffalo – a musical adaptation of well-loved children’s picture book by Julia Donaldson. Our students had a fantastic time seeing the story come to life on stage, and the fun continued back in our classrooms where our teachers then engaged them in games and crafts related to the story! 🎭 🎨 Here at TLL, we seek to enrich our students’ learning journeys through such activities and out-of-classroom experiences, because we believe that learning can be fun! The Learning Lab, Singapore Gruffalo Adventure So thankful for a wonderful team that made this such a success ❤️

During the June holidays, The Learning Lab, Singapore (TLL) is always abuzz with extra classes and special programmes for our students. To express our gratitude to our dedicated and hardworking staff working extra hard this season, we organized a special welfare drive, distributing thoughtfully curated welfare boxes filled with healthy snacks, refreshing vitamin C drinks, and honey 🍯 🍋 These little tokens are our way of saying "thank you" for the unwavering commitment and tireless efforts of our staff. More than that, these boxes were also purchased from (and in support of) HoneySpree, a home-grown social enterprise who hires Stay-At-Home-Mums (SAHMs) to empower them with financial independence.   Here's a feature of some of our team members enjoying their welfare boxes! 🎁 ✨ Thank you once again to everyone at TLL for making a difference every single day. Meet Zhao Min, our current The Learning Lab (TLL) intern who shares about her internship journey! 😊 Reflecting on her time with us, she notes how her understanding and beliefs about teaching have evolved. She realized that being able to teach well was not enough, but that she needed to develop her skills in balancing the needs of students with diverse capabilities, and set an appropriate learning pace for everyone. She shares how her colleagues, particularly her mentor, played a pivotal role in helping her gain deeper insights into the teaching profession, and gave her handles on overcoming the challenges she faced in managing classroom dynamics. Team UP had an inKUIHable, KUIH-zy time at our Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration last Thursday. We even learnt more about traditional Malay culture through an engaging Kahoot quiz hosted by our Math teacher, Siti. Of course, no Hari Raya celebration would be complete without a delightful assortment of kuih, epok epok which we catered from Muslim-owned confectionery The Kuihmakers!
