This week, we had the honour of welcoming Minister for Education, Mr. Chan Chun Sing and Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Education Mr. Shawn Wei Zhong Huang to our campus to explore some of TP’s most innovative projects, reflecting our commitment to sustainability, technology, and social impact. 🌱💡   At our Chemical Pilot Plant (CPP), students and staff from the Diploma in Chemical Engineering showcased how we’re converting waste cooking oil into biodiesel, leading the way in sustainable solutions. Minister Chan also learned about SpedGrow, a startup by TP alumna Zoe Poh, transforming financial literacy for individuals with special needs.   The tour continued with our Multi-Conditional Culture System, revolutionising sustainable aquaculture 🐟 by monitoring shellfish stress, and a look at how TP’s consultancy has automated and digitised production at People Bee Hoon Factory. 🍜    We further showcased AI-driven tools 🤖 enhancing education and workplace safety, as well as clean energy innovations 🔋, including hydrogen fuel cell-powered drones and sustainable lithium battery recycling. Finally, our focus on future foods 🍽️ highlighted our efforts to incorporate alternative proteins into sustainable and nutritious food solutions.   An insightful session followed, where our staff had the opportunity to discuss ideas and collaborate with Minister Chan in an open dialogue. 💬 We’re proud to share our journey with him as we continue driving the future of education and sustainability. #temasekpoly #tpcreatingtomorrow #tpsustainability

  • 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙖𝙮 @ 𝙆𝙈𝙄𝙏𝙇 International Day @ KMITL 🎉 Our students had an incredible experience at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Thailand, during their Overseas Student Internship Programme (OSIP), participating in the International Day 2024 on 26 July 2024.🌍   ✨They joined a global celebration where students from countries such as Ghana, Myanmar and Taiwan came together to showcase their cultures through their traditional attire and activities.👗   Representing Singapore, our students brought a taste of home with a fun quiz on famous facts about our little red dot 🇸🇬 and set up a stress relief board where students could share their worries and wishes. As mental health advocacy is of increasing importance in Singapore, they wanted to spread this awareness in Thailand as well.    It was heartwarming to see so many students open up about their academic and family stresses, and send well-wishes to others. This experience truly highlighted the inclusivity and diversity of the KMITL community. 🌟   It was certainly an awesome experience for our students!   #temasekpolytechnic #tpengine #tpcreatingtomorrow #KMITL #engineering #OSIP #collaboration #studentexchange #internationalday #beyondtemasek
