Ever wondered what our Greentech Accelerator (GTA) programme is all about? Sessions 2 to 4 took our participants on a journey of global perspectives, sustainability reporting, and scaling strategies. We broke down borders with FinLab World - an immersive metaverse experience where our 32 Greentechs from Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand connected, learned, and collaborated through livestreaming sessions. 🌎 Check out the highlights: 🌟 Session 2: Regional Startup Ecosystem Opportunities Jia Le Low (ACE.SG (Action Community for Entrepreneurship)) dived into Singapore's thriving startup scene and shared about ACE's support for innovative startups and SMEs. He also highlighted various initiatives businesses can leverage to capitalise on emerging AI trends. Anders Soh (Temasek Foundation) shared the organisation’s role in catalysing climate solutions across Asia and their established network of sustainability innovation competitions. Sansanee Huabsomboon (National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA)) then shared about the organisation and Thailand's Bio-Circular-Green Economy model and the opportunities it presents for startups. 🧑💻 Session 3: Sustainability Reporting for Businesses - ESG Reporting and Disclosure April Ong Vaño (Quest Ventures) dived into the regional funding and VC landscape in Singapore. Siriporn Wutthigul (Mind2Market Company Limited/Bizzup) provided insights into the regional funding and VC landscape in Thailand. Khairu Rejal (Investible) shared his expertise on the regional funding and VC landscape in Malaysia. Irsyad Kamaruzaman (Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC)) covered funding facilitation and investor relations - crucial aspects of securing investments. ✍️ Session 4: Scaling Your Greentech: Innovation Frameworks + Crafting a Unique Brand Narrative. Patrick Ng (Spark Launchpad) shared strategies for differentiating approaches to meet market needs. Joel L. (TriOn & Co) guided participants on crafting a unique and compelling brand narrative. Participants are gaining the knowledge and tools to drive real change, diving into ESG essentials and reporting strategies in Sessions 2 & 3. 🌳 In Session 2: Yina Chua, Associate Director of NUS Cities shared about ESG fundamentals , key standards and frameworks, regulations, methodologies and more. She also emphasised the growing importance of ESG reporting and carbon disclosure in light of evolving regulatory changes. Samuel T., Vice President, ESG Solutions, Group Wholesale Banking of UOB introduced the UOB sustainability compass, a tool to generate a customised roadmap and actionable steps for your sustainability journey. 🌳 In Session 3: Francesca Puricelli, Sustainable Finance Specialist of UNDP Global Centre, Singapore shared insights into key ESG metrics and effective disclosure strategies. Joel Low, Public Sector & Industry Partnerships, and Stephen Ow, Lead Product Designer of gprnt.ai, demonstrated the use of the Gprnt platform, an industry-approved ESG platform for sustainability disclosure. What a start to the Digitalisation Innovation Programme: Womenpreneur+ 🔥 This two-day event was a vibrant mix of networking, learning, and empowerment, tailored specifically for women entrepreneurs. Day 1 began with an energetic icebreaker, where connections were sparked among attendees. Following that, Shaun Tan from UOB FinLab inspired everyone by sharing the mission and successes of past Womenpreneur programmes. 🌟 Joel Lah from TriOn & Co, then led a detailed workshop on crafting compelling brand narratives, empowering participants with essential storytelling skills. The day concluded with a networking session, strengthening the sense of community among participants. Day 2 was equally dynamic, with a heavy focus on hands-on workshops.
